Beckett Replacement Bulb for UV9 Filter (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

This replacement bulb for my Beckett 9 watt UV pond filter works great at a good price. Only downside is the packaging. The bulb is contained in a small cardboard sleeve which was shipped in a bubble-wrap envelope. Both bulbs arrived intact, but any less-than-careful handling along the way could be a problem for these glass bulbs. My experience is that this bulb will last about 6 months.

I had bought this light bulb for my outside pond. It was delivered to me at the earliest arrival day. I tryed to buy this bulb at my local hardware store but when I saw the price, well forget it! When I looked on Amazon.com I found the same bulb. The hardware store wanted 3times more then Amazon. Needless to say the UV bulbs need to be replaced in my pump once a year, I will no long go to my local hardware store for this bulb... ill shop Amazon.com.

Great shipping time, only concern was the packaging the bulb arrived in. The bulb arrived in a small bubble wrap paper envelope which could have easily been crushed by another box falling on it. Bulb was easy to replace and is working fine in the filter housing.

These fit inside a plastic container. Water is pumped through the chamber and is exposed to the ultra violet light, thus decreasing the algae going back into the pool. They work, though these lamps seem to burn out very fast.

Much much cheaper than in retail stores. I used to replace the bulb every other year because of price; now that I found this at amazon, i replace this bulb for my fish pond annually

Bought this replacement bub and it arrived on time but it was shipped in a bubble wrap envelop. Installed in the filter and it worked fine but failed almost 2 months to the day I ordered it. I can't return it because it is just over the 2 month return window so I am stuck with a bad bulb. Ordered another one from Amazon and will try to contact Beckett directly to see if they will send a replacement. If they do, I'll at least have a spare bulb. I'll update this review after I hear from Beckett.
