Cleans and protects well
Removes stains that set into tightly woven water resistant fabric and restores the water repellent layer. Just follow the instructions and don’t skimp and you should get good results and good value from the larger size package. Excellent product.

Works as advertised!
I washed 6 hiking quilts and 2 sleeping bags following the instructions. All the bags and quilts had lost much of their loft. After washing and then air drying all the loft came back and the fabrics were not only cleaned like new but everything was coated with waterproofing . It even cleaned and waterproofed my gortex 30yo military jacket. Also there's no chemical or fragrance smell at all. Follow the directions and all will be well!

Worked Great for me!
I found nice hiking rain gear at my local thrift store. Was in great shape but did not know how old they were. So I soaked them in the Grangers waterproofing. It rained this week so tested my old/new rain gear. I did not see any change in color of the material but the rain rolled right off. Very satisfied. Just to make sure, I also added my puffy coat, backpack cover, and my waterproof bags to the same batch. I used a 3'x2'x2' tote container and followed the instructions. I used plastic covered weights to weigh material down under water for 24 hrs. Then let drip dry in the shower. Then place in the dryer low heat for 30 min. One thing though, after the water gets cold in the container, the waterproofing will clump together. I just sloshed the water around before taking the clothing out. Squeezed out the excess water and let drip dry. If the water could be heated again, maybe the same batch could be used again.

Noticed a difference
I think it worked. I reinvigorated three old goretex jackets. I followed directions and first washed using Grangers product for cleaning (to lazy to look for name). Then i immediately sprayed on this product while coat was damp and rubbed it around (wearing nitrile gloves), let it sit 5-10 minutes and threw it in dryer on low heat. Results were good, but i had to retreat wrist areas as they werent repelling rain as well as the rest of the garment. I would use this again, maybe sooner in life of garment? Seems to work

New life for old items
Living in Pacific Northwest we get more than our fair share of rainfall. My three jackets and powder pants were like sponges, people would stand near me so water would wick away from them. :-) We treated three jackets and two baseball caps and two pair of gloves in one load, on the delicate setting. We paused the washer for 10 minutes to let everything soak in the Grangers Wash and Repel. Then allowed the washer to run it's normal cycle including a slow spin. I put the dryer on lowest setting above tumble no heat and it ran for an hour with all these items the last four-five minutes I put the dryer on high heat--instructions say to dry or iron--but this worked like a champ. Water now jumps off these items and I actually put the gloves on and plunged my hand into the sink filled with water and my hand stayed dry. Will report back on the durability of the treatment but as for now, we are pretty impressed. There was no color change, or shift or bleed. These is no scent or odor like 303 or my homemade bees wax, mineral spirits and turpentine and this was WAY easier and more economical. Great stuff.

Grangers is the best I have found so far, caring for my Columbia & northface coats.
I have tried several other brands but, Grangers is the best I have found so far, caring for my Columbia & northface coats. I even started using this on all my coats and they are now more water resistant and look better then other ways of cleaning them. This stuff just works. The best I found so far, but always on the look out for something better, just haven't found anything yet. I use this on my heavy Columbia coat that has a removable silver lined inner jacket. Both the otter shell and inner liner feel like they did new and they are more "puffier" which means they are trapping more air inside them and warmer.

Kind of works
There seemed to be some improvement in the water beading on the jacket after treatment, but it didn't last very long. The water no longer beads on the jacket.
