Tone Fitness 1 -Pounds Pair Walking

Hand weights are effective at shaping and toning arms, shoulders, chest, and upper back muscles. They can be paired with a power yoga or Pilates workout, or used in a series of simple arm exercises of your own design. Although I was happy with my 2.2-pound Merrithew weights, the line caps out at 2.75 pounds (5.5 pounds total), and I was ready to bump up my intensity level.I was pleased to find the Tone Fitness brand with 3-pound weights - for each weight; total of 6 pounds. The higher weight means a harder workout. The adjustable, Velcro strap, makes sure your fit is secure despite slippery, sweaty hands. Cleaning the grippy neoprene-covered cast-iron weights was as easy as spraying on my tea tree (disinfectant) and peppermint (freshener) oil mix and wiping clean.These hand-sized dumbells are proportionally balanced with a solid grip thanks to the plastic housing attached to the sides of the weight that supports the Velcro strap on top. This design minimizes any stretching, or twisting or slipping of the grip during your workout. The design of the Tone Fitness hand weights allow you to concentrate on your work-out technique and not technical issues related to equipment. Just slide them on and get to work.

I needed some two-pound weights to do a little physical therapy for a forearm injury. I take one of these to my office for use there and leave one at home, because I only use one at a time (and I can do the PT at my desk while I'm working). I like the fact that these have the hand straps on them - it keeps me from squeezing with my hands, which can be a bad thing when you have a sore tendon. And because they have hand straps, you can easily take them with you for a sweat walk to add a little more upper body effort to your workout. You can also use them in aerobics classes. They're good quality dumbbells, nice texture, comfortable to hold. Very good product. I received lime green ones - not sure I knew I wasn't getting the purple that was pictured on the product page, but I can't say that bothers me.

These dumbbells have been a great addition to my weight loss and toning exercises. I use them to help tone my arms. I am tired of the bingo wings! The handles on the dumbbells have velcro and you can strap them to yourself without worrying it will come flying off mid-move. At 3lbs each, they are perfect for women and great starters. The handles are not slippery and have a soft feel to them. The quality is awesome and I love my set!

For small hands. Shorter than average dumbell. Not soft to hold. I didn't realize they have a reflector tape on them. It looks tacky. I don't plan to walk with them but wanted the strap. They were inexpensive, I'll use them but they don't spark joy! I got what I paid for.

These weights are comfortable and sturdy in my hands. I use these for Zumba and I really appreciate the straps. Even though they are 2lbs, they make a big difference once you start using them for anything aerobic. My arms are even more toned than they were before and it didn't take very long.One con is that they have a slight smell to them. It's not unbearable, but I can't quite name it. Maybe it's a sort of plastic odor? I'm not sure, but I can't smell it unless I bring it to my nose so it's not a major issue.Overall these are great weights!

I love these dumbbells. They are a perfect companion for the Leslie Sansone - Walk at Home videos (also purchased here on Amazon). I looked everywhere for 3 pound (each) dumbbells with an adjustable strap and soft material....they are rather hard to find. These are perfect because I feel more secure with the strap and can also let go of my grip for certain moves and still continue the workout efficiently. They are PERFECT! Thank you Amazon for your outstanding products and prices.

These nifty handweights are great. They're girly and pink. They have reflective straps that easily velcro, so this helps them stay on your hands better while providing visual protection if you're wearing them outside around traffic. Research has shown walking with weights that are too heavy can offset your posture and cause negative skeletal wear, but light weights like these, at only a pound each, provide a little upper-body resistance without being too heavy. They smell a bit strange when they're brand new, but it wears off after a while.

I have not been able to use the product because of the smell.I think the material its made of is the cause of the smell..I left it outside for days to see if it will reduce or eliminate the smell, but it it did not happen.I think the manufacturer needs to do better with material used.
