Little issue at first, turned out good though.
My first ever cordless electric mower. At first I thought it was a dud. It's really confusing how to turn on, why can't it just be a switch or button? The manual was lawyer speak so it was very unhelpful on how to turn on. DON'T USE PROFESSIONAL WORDING- speak like I'm a moron, cause i am. Then the first use- the battery only lasted 10 minutes on a full charge- kept stalling out during this too, thought it was a bad battery. But 2nd charge it went more like 20 minutes and ran solid. I got a 3rd party 6000mah battery for it, that worked great with it too, now I can mow for almost an hour of pure chaos! Overall i am happy with it, though I kinda wish I had gone for the 80v model for more power. Don't be lazy about mowing and you'll be okay, seriously just don't let that grass get too tall or you'll wish you had the 80v version too. Oh and... even on highest height setting... thing thing cuts extremly low to the ground. Like... almost putting green low. I've never seen that on a gas powered mower... is this how all electric mowers are? It's nice looking results, but I do nick a few more rocks.

Worth it!
Love this mower & accessories! So easy to use! And it does a great job on our rough & bumpy yard. It's got a METAL deck which is amazing for a battery powered mower. They are typically plastic. Only 2 complaints: 1) this sucker is HEAVY. I can push/pull it with no problem while mowing, I just cannot physically fold it up to put it up by myself. 2) I wish the battery lives were longer. We can mow the yard with one solid charge, but there's not much left after. And it takes a long time to fully charge them. Was hoping to send my tween out to earn his own money this summer mowing the neighbors yards, but that's not very easy or practical with this type of mower requiring a full charge in between lawns.

Overall Nice Product
So, I bought this mower simply for the push button start. Would have preferred gas powered but the pull start was proving difficult. Overall, the mower works well. Easy to use and it cuts well. My reason for giving 4 stars is the battery - specifically the fact that it only runs for just over 20 minutes before needing a recharge. The grass isn't thick or overly long, and the property has only a slight incline. I'm mowing just over a half-acre, and it takes two recharge cycles. So, it would take me about 7.5 hours to complete the job - ridiculous! Greenworks needs to improve the run time and shorten the charge time. I'm also not thrilled with the lack of recyclability of this type of battery.

Great Mower
I loved using my 40V mower so much at camp that I bought a second one for my home. This mower is quiet and cuts great. It's easy to use and maneuver and the self-propelled feature comes in handy for hills. I cut different sections of yard at different lengths and the height adjustment is quick and simple. The mower takes a beating on rough terrain at camp and every once in awhile hits a rock or three and still performs well so I can definitely state that this mower is durable. Get yourself a couple of 4mAh or higher batteries and you'll love this mower.

Worst customer service ever
Prior to purchasing a Greenworks lawn mower, I tried to contact Greenworks customer support multiple times to get advice on your products. I called 3-4 times and was on hold for as long as 45 min before giving up. Ultimately, I decided to give Greenworks the benefit of the doubt about your customer service and purchased a Greenworks lawn mower (ML 40L02) on Amazon. This turned out to be a mistake on my part. My experience has only gone downhill from there. Once the lawn mower arrived, I was excited to try it out after charging the battery overnight. The product details claim the battery will last up to 45 min and is appropriate for a 1/3 acre lawn. After about 10 minutes the battery died. I recharged the battery and tried again with the self-propelled feature turned off (to conserve power). The mower shut off multiple times when I cut the sunny portion of my yard that has moderately dense grass that hadn’t been cut for 2 weeks. Again, after recharging the battery, a third time, the mower ran for 30 sec and died again. The battery appears to be defective. Optimistic that Greenworks would be able help me solve the problems and replace the battery, I called customer support again. After 55 min on hold I gave up. The customer service hours are short to begin with so there aren’t many options to try calling at off hours. At work the next day, I tried the online chat and finally got a person who was entirely unhelpful. She refused to do anything to help me because I didn’t know the serial number of the lawn mower. She also refused to let me chat with her supervisor or have someone contact me. She suggested calling the customer service line again but rather than wasting more of my time, I decided to return the lemon of a mower. I also send a letter to Greenworks describing what had happened but the letter to the customer service PO box was returned with no forwarding address given! This is really summed up my experience with Greenworks customer support.
