I like the small size for easy transport as well as the smell

In my own house I got over 10 bites in one day and they all welted. I got real tired of not even able to see what bit me (most likely mosquitoes because everyone's been complaining of the same thing lately) so I looked for a bug spray and came across this. Smells nice, however, when I went to pour 10 drops it came rushing out like I had turned on a faucet! That's really my only gripe. I'll update on it's effectiveness later to see if I don't get bit or do.

Started using this several years ago in the midst of doing mission work in Africa. I mix is with witch hazel. I don't get bites. It's smell good and I would use it in the morning and the evening after showers, so I could sleep bug free. I have everyone in my group asking to use my bug spray! When I go to Texas it goes with me as well, the grandkids even like the smell. This purchase is my 4th bottle. I recommend it to all my missionary friends, matter of fact it's headed with a group to do relief work in Arkansas after their flooding, you know the mosquitos will be bad and they will come back bite free! An added bonus is that the CDC has approved the use of essential oils to help repel bug.

Do not think this product can stand up to the onslaught of late Spring and early Summer mosquitos, and black flies in the mountainous areas of the Catskills and Adirondacks of New York State, but as good as most products. The only thing I found better was Bulldog Spray which is an insect Repellent and Sun Screen together. But this works as well as Deep Woods Off and Cutter, and smells much better.

This product does have a pleasant scent and contains the essential oils as described. However, there was not any information included on how to use this as a personal insect repellent. At the very least the supplier should include instructions on how to prepare this product to obtain the desired results. There is likely an ideal ratio of oil to water that works with this, but that information has not been included. Also, there should be information on what you should not mix it with, if certain liquids might decrease its effectiveness. So, I am not happy with having to go hunting for information on how to use this product. I just hope it will be effective because insect bites, especially from mosquitos, are more than just "annoying," as described here; they are potential sources of disease, and for those us who have severe allergic reactions, they are often uncomfortable for days.I've updated my rating because the company representative was very helpful in providing information about this product. I looked up their website and left a message there, and they contacted me promptly and answered all of my questions.

This is so amazingly great, especially if you hate bugs as much as I do. The bottle is nice and compact to carry anywhere. The consistency of the liquid is thin which helps faciliate good spreading. The smell is not overbearing or a headache. AND IT WORKS PERFECTLY.I copied another review from here about applying a drop or two on your wrists, ankles, and behind your ears. Of course you can apply it wherever suits you. There's no need to use more, but I still do because of how much I hate bugs.PLEASE BUY! I WAS NOT PAID NOR ENTICED TO WRITE THIS REVIEW. IT IS JUST SO GOOD AND I HAVE WAITED MY WHOLE LIFE FOR THIS.

I use this for our patio. I have 3 fans and have added car wash sponges to the front of each and bungee chorded on. I added this product 1 tsp to a spray bottle with a little alcohol and swish for a minute. Now fill with water and use as a spray. I soak the sponges before turning the fans on and it really helps a lot. I also have made my own recipe with orange pine and citronella essential oils which also works great. Spray legs arms also. Hope this helps others !

This product is amazing! We're bug magnets, and we didn't get bitten. Per some advice, I mixed drops of this oil with witch hazel in a spray bottle. Spraying before putting on clothes and spraying in the hair does the trick with special attention around the ankles and exposed extremities. It didn't seem to stain clothes or cause skin irritations (have skin sensitivity). Witch hazel seems to allow the oil to absorb into the skin better. As this is a mixture of different oils, the scent is strong and can be pungent if you are not accustomed to the various oil scents. We don't mind the strong scent. The odor dissipates after awhile. I suggest spraying the concoction several times a day to ensure a bite-free time.
