Warmlite WL45043 Cambridge Fireplace Stove Suite with Two Heat Settings and Realistic LED Flame Effect, 1850W, Black

I had recently spent a fair amount of money having a real log burner installed in my Living Room with extensive chimney repairs carried out at the same time. The fireplace in my Dining Room was little more than an untidy hole in the wall from when I had had a back boiler and gas fire removed a few years ago so I was looking for nice looking, inexpensive suite that was quick and easy to install to look good as much as anything - The heat output would be a bonus. I chose the Cambridge because it just looked so good, complimented my new log burner in the Living Room and was very, very affordable at only £199.99. Delivery was as advised and by two amicable chaps who carried the very large (and heavy) box through into my Dining Room. The surround came fully assembled and the stove unit was independently wrapped with PEL foam mouldings to locate it. Other reviewers have commented on the quality of the packing and it was "awesome". The surround was protected by large polystyrene mouldings on all corners with additional plastic corner protectors and the box that it was delivered in was a very heavy duty corrugated cardboard - 11 out of 10 for packaging and it would not be easy to damage this product in transit. The "cast iron" effect stove is quite light and appears to be made largely from pressed steel coated with a very effective cast iron finish. Curiously, the legs of the stove seem to be plastic which initially caused me concerns but having run the fire on a high setting for some time, I can report that the legs never even got warm as the heat is fan blown between the legs and it does not look like this is a cause for concern. The "Oak surround" is as I expected for this price, a laminated (presumably) MDF board. It is however very well made and the grain effect of the laminate is superb. In the attached picture, the fire suite comprises of everything from (and including) the black hearth upwards. Everything below the black hearth I supplied and fitted. To sum up, for £200, I have a very nice looking fire suite that has given me a stylish focal point to an otherwise drab fireplace which is exactly what I set out to achieve. Although the suite is made with cost effectiveness in mind using laminated MDF and pressed steel to keep the price low, the build quality is very high and the quality of workmanship in the fire surround is plainly apparent. We bought this as it looked like it was quite good value for money and looked nice. It actually looks vastly better than we thought it would. It's a good, solid quality surround. The inside of the surround is hollow, which was good as the cable on the fire wasn't long enough, so I used a 13 amp extension and fixed the socket inside the hollow. There's enough space behind the backboard for the cable so it can fit flush to the wall (I cut my skirting around it). There's a plug hole in the back of the backboard enabling the cable to be completely hidden. There is a LOT of packaging with this, so a trip to the tip may be necessary to dispose of it. It comes well padded with foam supports and polystyrene. The heater had a bit of tape residue on it but this came off easily using a baby wipe. Other than that, it just needed a wipe down with a soft cloth after installation. The heater itself is great - the LED lighting makes the room look really cosy, and can be operated independently of the heating. The unit kicks out a good amount of heat (it's a fan heater and as such you can hear it). Overall, we're very pleased with both the surround and the heater, and would recommend it to anyone looking for something solid, that looks good, and doesn't have a fortune to spend.

Such a gorgeous fire really impressed with it . Heat really good, makes my living room look cosy. A begin process on Black Friday , but still worth the price at normal rep. Would recommend

I just love this and everyone says how nice it is . I’m so pleased it make tbe room look cozy and it gets warm . The bulbs went in the first wk for no reason . It’s easy to change otber than that it’s perfect thank you

We bought this fire a few years back and for the price we were very pleased with it overall. We didn’t want anything to fancy. Just something that would fit the room we were intending to put it in and look handsome and it did just that. We originally gave it 5 stars, though now, over a year ago the light in the fire went out. It happened not too long after the warranty ran on. We contact the company by phone and ask how we replace the bulb because for the life of us we couldn’t find where to open it to find out the bulb we would need. We were told that nothing in the fire could be replaced and once it’s gone it’s gone. We argue that nowhere in the description did it say we couldn’t and because it was out of warranty their was nothing that could do. Don’t waste your money!!! Don’t waste your time phoning them either. Worse customer service ever. I company who isn’t honest in the description and should have to be by Amazon Standards I should be able to get my money back or some kind of compensation. None whatsoever!!!!

Cannot tell you how delighted we are with this! No assembly and arrived almost a month ahead of time! Top marks!

Ideal size for smaller homes. Lighting is cosy. Functions as intended and was already assembled, so easy to plug in and. The fire quality is brilliant. Doesn't come with a remote
