Is the handle hollow (I.E. will water get into it and later leak into food)?

No. It isn't hollow. Has nice weight.

How long is the handle portion? I’m hoping to find something that is mostly whisk and less handle when I submerge it in a pitcher to stir drink mix.

The handle is 4" long, so you'd have 8" to submerge...Hope that helps. It's a nice sturdy whisk, if that helps.

Is this made in usa, 1 review said there's said made in china?

There was a Chinese company that was trying to sell them under this this product description. I contacted the manufacturer and Amazon about it. They removed their products. Now just the USA made item remain.
