Tried to use in an S.T. DuPont Orpheo. The length is slightly undersized and doesn’t allow the twist mechanism to function.

Good substitute for S.T. Dupont ballpoint pen refills!
When placed side by side, it is obvious that the blue Monteverde ballpoint pen refill I just purchased is a little bit shorter than my original S.T. Dupont ballpoint pen refill; but this did not impede its performance when I inserted it into my original S.T. Dupont pen. So overall, I am quite pleased to have found a good substitute for the brand’s original refills, which are no longer being produced.
