Very high quality! No complaints
This bottle is very high quality and has an option for an actually very high quality neoprene sleeve which I also got in black. The sleeve is very thick and snug! Impressed. The bottle is great. It has a silicon covered handle (water goes through it) and it makes it easily grip-able. It’s not super rubbery to the point of collecting dust and lint. The lid is great. I actually really like it this way vs switching to a different lid. I’m not the strongest person to be tipping over a gallon of water to drink from the spout so it has a spout and straw in one that you can use any time. So when water is low you can drink from the spout. The mouth of the bottle is huge, I can put my whole hand in there and probably an apple . Easy to get a sponge in and clean. The lid doesn’t just click in lock, it screws closed so it’s super leak proof especially important since when I carry it by the handle, it’s at a 90 degree angle facing ahead. The plastic feels strong. It’s not stinky. The entire thing just feels and works great! Solid bottle, love it

Pros and Cons
The media could not be loaded. Here is my honest review of the Dr Hydro gallon water bottle broken down into Pros and Cons.Pros:1. This is such an aesthetically appealing water bottle. It is absolutely beautiful with a super sleek design.2. I love how the cap screws on for a more airtight approach then the normal flip up lid. The flip up ones (HydroJug is a great example) tend to leak overtime making those less leak resistant I noticed. My Dr Hydro does not leak at all unlike my HydroJug did.3. I primarily bought this jug because it is transparent instead of opaque. I will admit, I got kind of careless when it came to cleaning out my HydroJug. I figured that since it's just water I'm putting in it, how often does it really need to be deep cleaned instead of rinsed? Big mistake. I went on vacation for a few days and forgot to empty out the water in my HydroJug. Mold accumulated inside the opaque container. When I got home from vacation, I emptied out the water and filled it up in my sink. My asinine ADD brain was hyperfocused on something else so I didn't look inside the bottle while it was filling up. I took one drink out of it and almost threw up. There was black mold all in the inside of my HydroJug. It was disgusting and made me learn an important life lesson. With Dr Hydros clear bottle, it's an added reminder to clean the inside because you never know what lurks in the water.4. I will digress from the disgusting and get back to the pros. I really enjoy the added feature of a handle on this bottle. It's similar to what I loved about my HydroJugs handle. However, the Dr Hydro has groves on the handle to act as traction which makes it outstand its competitor.5. The pink strip attached to the lid can be a keychain or chapstick holder. (I made my chapstick holder. It does not come with the bottle).6. The oz/measurements of water on the side is engraved instead of a sticker. I like this because it will not come off.7. It is BPA free meaning that it does not contain any traces of Bisphenol-A.8. The bottle comes with a removable straw for easy cleaning. This straw is not attached to the lid at all.9. The bottle is not too bulky or heavy. It's easy to transport and I take it everywhere.10. Dr Hydro does make sleeves for the bottles as added protection. It is sold separately or could be purchased as a bottle sleeve set. (I opted out of this. See #3 for reason lol).Cons:1. I can not speak for how durable this bottle really is. I think it's a matter of preference. I feel as if my HydroJug had thicker walls than my Dr Hydro does. I never dropped either yet but I will give an update if that day comes. I've heard horror stories of HydroJugs shattering from 3 ft drops so the Dr Hydro having thinner walls is some kind of concern to me.2. The part connected to my handle seems sort of flimsy. The might have cut corners in the quality of that part. The plastic piece is connected to the bottle but when I squeeze the handle as I pick it up, it does make a slight creaking sound. I read one review where theirs snapped off of their bottle. I will update if this occurs.3. It will NOT keep your water cold. This bottle is NOT insulated. To me, this isn't a problem because room temperature water doesn't bother me but it should be mentioned.4. I really wish Dr Hydro would create a silicone base or silicone base sleeve attachment for their bottles, similar to that of a HydroFlasks or even Bottle Bottles. The silicone base helps for tabletop impacts. For instance, I am blind in one eye. My depth perception is horrible. When I place things on tables, I kind of drop them on accident, if that makes any sense. A silicone bottom absorbs that slight impact instead of putting potential hairline fractures to the bottles integrity.Overall, I love my Dr Hydro more than my HydroJug. It fits my individual needs all while keeping me hydrated. I wholeheartedly recommend this bottle to anyone who is considering making the purchase.

Awesome + Get The Sleeve!
Overall, this bottle has become my lifeline for hydration and holding my essentials! In the two weeks I’ve had this bottle, about five people have approached me and said, “What a cool bottle! Where did you get it?” It’s been easy to carry around and has definitely upped my water intake. The one and only thing that could be better about this bottle is it to be made of metal and insulated, but it’s perfect in all other ways. I will break the positives down by number:1. Large, sturdy handle2. Wide mouth (with the top off) for easy refill3. Tight seal so there’s no leaking4. Plastics seem sturdy, thus far4. GET THE SLEEVE, it’s well worth it! Especially for the gym. I can fit my iPhone Max, wallet, and multitool in the sleeves, and hang my car keys on the hooks!

Its ok
This bottle is ok. It does what it is supposed to do and so far has kept up with handling.Reviewing is a personal thing. So I gave this bottle 4/5 stars because it IS more difficult to hold. I feel like this is a learning thing for me where I try different bottles until I find what works best for me. Through THIS bottle I learned that while the capacity and durability of this bottle is great, I need a better, more rugged holding option from the top. That little loop that's there now has me concerned about the hinge. The bottle is obviously heavy when it is full of water and while it has not broken yet, I feel like it is only a matter of time. The feel of it is not so sturdy when holding a full bottle by thata top loop.I love that it has a straw, I love that it holds almost a gallon of water, I like how it looks. I do not like the seemingly wimpy loop at the top of the bottle. If there was a heftier loop, maybe connected to the bottle instead of to the lid and its hinge, I might have more faith in it. Still, for now it is not busted or broken. Maybe it will hold out for longer than it seems/. We will see.

Read this for fun fact
Love the jug. But it doesn’t retain cold as much as I would want it to, even with the sleeve (purchased also.)Easy to clean - inside and out.I have found it to be very durable because I have dropped it a lot. So, bonus points there. When I first brought it to work, lots of coworkers asked about it when I came walking in. A few even purchased. It looks good and the strap is an added bonus and is a great length for wearing it across the chest. The ice lasts about 90 minutes in a 95 degrees building. Yes. There’s ya a fun fact. The straw is pretty snazzy. It sucks well.
