Most 3-year-olds are best-served by the Micro Mini Deluxe (ages 2-5)-- it can hold up to 75 pounds and has an adjustable handle that grows with your child. The Maxi weighs about 40% more than the smaller Mini and can accommodate riders up to age 12 (ages 5-12)-- there are not many scooters that are suitable for both a 3-year-old as well as a 12-year-old. As these scooters are "lean to steer" models wherein riders use their *body weight* to steer, it is very important that a kiddo is big/old/heavy-enough to ride a given scooter; if they are not, the scooter will mainly just to straight,, something which is not very fun. Long story short, the safest bet will be the Micro Mini Deluxe (ages 2-5). Why is there two different weight limits on the first specs it says 150 limit second specs says 110 limit
