Powermatic 2 Plus Cigarette Injector Machines

My review will be a long. Hopefully it'll be worth reading & help someone. This is the best machine I've found! So easy to use & quiet. The motor only runs when filling the tube, fills tube in 2 seconds. This will make both Kings & 100's. There's 2 tricks to making 100's. To make 100's: when filling chamber with tobacco, add a little extra to each end & a little in middle if needed. Pack the center normally.Not too much or it will jam. Put tube on the end, pull handle down & at same time hold other hand 1/4inch - or less behind tube so when it's filling it will hit your hand, Like hitting a wall. Use this as an extra push so the tobacco gets to the end of filter. The arm that pushes tobacco into tube is long enough for 100's. It just takes practice to figure out how much tobacco you need. 2-when making 100's fill in the chamber (silver metal piece you put tube on) from the inside. Then pack normally. It actually makes 100's pretty well that way. Kings are much easier to make. Almost every one comes out perfect. I've been making cigarettes since 2013. Using a regular hand injector machine. This is sooo much easier. Great for people who have hands or arms that hurt. I had to find something that was easier on my hand. I have "Trigger Finger"now because of the hand injector. You definitely don't want that,it's painfull. So I tried 2 of the bullet shaped looking machines. Not good. They grind tobacco into Almost powder like substance. And the metal pipe you put tube on gets super hot. After only1 cig, I burned my hand trying to clean it out because it jammed,on 1st try. If the tobacco is to tiny it won't stay in tube or fill tube properly. Resulting in the cherries falling off & burning everything. The cherry always falls off no matter what. When I found this machine. I hit the jackpot. It will cut your time by more than 1/2. So you can take your time & watch tv. Best of all my hands don't hurt anymore. The best part is you only need 1 hand to make cigarettes. If you are on phone,you can still make them easily. Don't use really dry or really wet tobacco. To keep tobacco from drying out, get some "water pillows". They really help. You buy some at your local tobacco shop. Or from Amazon too. I haven't had any cherries fall off of any cigarette that I made with this machine, not even the not so well made ones. Just make sure you pack cigs well before smoking them. Then feel the tube from top to filter. You will feel it if tobacco is loose in cig. So you know You have to pack it more. Usually close to filter you can find it. We use PIPE tobacco. The longer strands are better & easier to use. We use "OHM Bold",Black&red bag. Tubes are "Gambler",orange, white & black box. The taste of fresh straight tobacco is way to go. It doesn't have all those crappy chemicals in it, Like store bought cigarettes. Once you try these, you won't ever want the store bought brands again. Cigarettes. Are about $9-$10 a pack & about $100.00 per carton. MYO(make your own) machine you will pay around $20 for tobacco.That's for 16oz.-1pound-makes 2 cartons from 1 bag. The tubes are like $3.00 It ends up being $11.50 per carton. That's around a 90% in savings! The machine has paid for itself already. It also has a safty mechanism, so if you overfill chamber with tobacco, the machine won't fill tube. It stops making the cigarette before it will break. It senses the overpacked chamber & backs out. This feature is great. You will enjoy how easy it is to use. This will be the last type of machine you will buy. Hopefully it will last a long time. The quality is great,& it's smaller than expected. It doesn't slide on table. Update: been using for 1 month or longer & it still works perfectly. I've jammed it several times. But thanks to the overfill protection the machine is fine.

I had purchased this machine 2 years ago and it worked great. But one day it started to eject the cigarettes when they were only half full leaving most of the tobacco hanging out of the tube. I just thought it was worn out. I had rolled 3 packs a day at least over the 2 years. Anyway I repurchased a replacement machine and was shocked when it started doing the exact same thing the malfunctioning machine was doing. I really loved the ease of use of the powermatic 2 plus. It made perfect cigarettes before. I was about to return it but I noticed the tubes I was using seemed tighter where the white part of the tube meets the filter. So I bought a couple different brands of tubes and tried rolling with them. It was not the rolling machine that was malfunctioning it was the tubes being to tight for the injector to get the tobacco all the way to the filter even though they fit correctly on the nipple. If you are having this problem, try changing your brand of tubes before giving up and buying a different rolling machine. I was using "Premier Tubes". Now I use "Tops Tubes". I have 2 machines and help rolling. I love this machine. The Powermatic 2 Plus is the best machine on the market. I'm a customer for life.

Since most people reading this are probably smokers, I will dispense with the "mea culpas" people seem to expect when you do something they personally disapprove of. :)As near as I can calculate, I've rolled over 1500 cigarettes with this machine with nae problems that weren't my fault.I've cut my smoking casts from $.25 to $.04 per cigarette.In fact, if the machine broke tomorrow, I could replace it and still have saved money. A *lot* of money. I am a professional level smoker, people. :)Some tips for you, if you are new to RYO (Roll Your Own)that have worked for me, but, your mileage may vary:Buy the machine online. locally, they sell for $20 to $40 more than from Quality.Do NOT use the powdery tobacco from the bottom of the bag. it WILL jam the machine. That "pop" you her when it jams is the (probably plastic) gears that drive the "spoon" that injects the tobacco into the tube trying to "strip". This is, from what I've read, the #1 cause of machine failure. I have never had a jam since I learned not to use the stuff from the very bottom.Don't over fill the loading tray. Over time, you will learn how much tobacco you need to pack in it. Over filling = potential jamming, and undue stress on the "gate" that closes over the tray. If the lever that activates the machine is hard to pull, you have too much tobacco in the tray. Don't pack too tightly. Read the instructions, fill from the center, and you'll consistently get a full, "tight" cigarette. Every. Time. If your fingers are less than slender, I suggest buying a $6 manual machine , and using the packing tool from it. This unit does not come with one.Occasionally, you will have some strings of tobacco hanging from the end of the finished cigarette. If this bothers you, you can get a tobacco cutter here on Amazon. I used to cut mine, and I used a $9 coffee bean grinder. From what I can tell from pictures the blades used in both look identical or very nearly so. If you do used a bean grinder, just 'bump' the switch once, then check your tobacco. The first time I used one, I wound up with a bowl of useless tobacco powder. Lesson learned. I no longer cut my tobacco. I assume with experience, that I learned something unconsciously that makes it an unnecessary step.If you *really* feel like you are wasting tobacco, go ye then to a big box discount store, and buy a hand held strainer/sieve, and you can put handfuls of tobacco in it, and sift out a lot of what causes the problem. I also put my tobacco on a paper plate, then transfer it to the machine, and over a rolling session, a lot of the junk will gravitate to the bottom. The unit does come with a nice, handy, cleaning kit for un-jamming it. Follow the instructions.If your kitchen table is not handy or appropriate for rolling, get a good quality folding "TV Table". I keep my equipment stored out of the way. I generally roll a carton at a time and can set up for rolling in about 2 minutes. I takes me, with this machine, approximately 1 to 1.5 hours to roll over 200 cigarettes. You can probably do it faster, as I don't really get in any hurry. If you can get one, a cafeteria type tray to place the machine on will help with the mess. You WILL most likely wind up with tobacco everywhere.RYO cigs are larger in diameter than ready-rolls (commercial cigarettes). You will need something to keep them in. Most of the plastic "pocket boxes" I have tried are junk. I smoked cigarettes that came in hard packs before going rogue, and saved ten or twelve of them. They've held up well, but will only hold about 17 RYO. Amazon has many choices for storage. If you look, you'll likely find something you like. A friend of mine buys boxes intended for storing crayons from a big box discount store (You know the one I mean. Don't make me speak of the devil.), and says they hold ~ 35, and have a good."seal". I bought a couple of pocket cases, Tpingfe Smoking Cigarettes Aluminum Cigarette Case, intended to hold hard packed commercial smokes, and they work well, hold 20 cigs, but, a *bit* uncomfortable in the pocket.Shop around for tobacco. you can, around here (NW LA. Louisiana, not Los Angeles.) get a 5 ounce bag for around $6, and a 1 lb. bag for about $13. Try several 'till you find one you like. Amazon doesn't sell most things that tend to kill people, but there are plenty of online sources. You can find tobaccos that approximate the commercial brand you smoked before. For instance, there is a brand that claims to taste "just like the world's most popular cigarette", or, what we used to call "Cowboy Killers". (You know the one I mean.) Just don't think you're stuck with one brand. I use a brand called "Good Stuff' because I like the way it tastes, and it has a pleasant odor when burning. It took trying several brands to find it. In a pinch, as in, I've been a poor planner, the is a brand called "American Club" that I also use and like.Buy your tubes ( the paper and filter in a single unit) in bulk if you can. They don't spoil. Locally, tubes sell for ~ $3.80 to $4.50 per box of 200. I buy a brand off of Amazon called "Zen". You can get 1250 tubes (5 boxes of 250) for between $16 and $17. Also, these tube have a "full length" filter, and some of the other brands have a shorter filter. I.e., the filters in the Zen bran are the full length of the brown-colored part of the tube, as oppose to about half that.I mention this here only because I have had people to whom I have explained "rolling your own" to comment that they could make money with it.  Love this machine!!! I tried the zen super shooter first,it was sent back a couple days later,could not get it to pack a stick to save my life!So I ordered the Supermatic II and I couldn't be happier...love it!!Rolls perfect sticks every time and no more cherry loss :)The hopper on the zen was nice and the supermatic doesn't have one so as you see in my video I improvised one from some deli container plastic :)
