1 star because many missed references, even typos where math problems are wrongly caluated (pg 61)and missing major piece of information in sample problem on same page 61, leaving you to waste time trying to solve a problem that makes references to a table that was mistakenly excluded. Emailed IMCA appx 2months ago they responded saying they would forward to publishers and I have not heard back. Find the text nowhere near as comprehensive as other textbooks I use (I cross reference different books for ideas and concepts in specific subjects). On page 220, discussing indexes, I get the sense that the authors of this one section do one hell of a job at inserting a plug for a subscription for the cycle indicators report.All in all. Historical market and investment data/content is good, definitions are good, the flow of their explanation is mediocre, for the formula/math I’d use other material. Luckily I’m comfortable with the math side of this exam but I do use my old college books for reference on everything that deals with formulas.

Comprehensive coverage of the CIMA topics and exam. Pursue books on more specific topics if they are an issue then get the Kaplan question bank (largest) to prepare for the exam. Yale has a completely online program compared to Wharton & Booth (Univ. of Chicago). Good luck.

Matches the Yale curriculum to a tea. Take test next month and will report back for applicable content. Test bank seems on the money thus far.

Study book for the CIMA

I used this as my sole source to study for the CIMA. It contains many practical ideas and concepts that can also be implemented in an advisory practice. A bit pricey, but that's part of the textbook racket, and the reason for 4 stars.

Did anyone double check the math before publishing?

I noticed some issues with the text and called the Publisher about them. I was suppose to hear back within 24 hours .I never did.If you ignore the missing referenced tables I called about, the text is Good.
