Adult | 11+ is VERY VERY small!
My son says this is very comfortable, but has only used it for 1 minute so we will find out when the season starts. I wanted to get on here to share our experience. We had to redo the process once as we had way too much material in front of the front teeth. The mouthguard would fall out immediately. On our second try, I made sure to push up against the front teeth harder than before, before having him bite down. This helped a great deal.We ordered an adult after reading the reviews that the youth was too small. Either we got a repackaged and returned one or the adults are extremely small as well. My son is 8 with a mouth still full of 12 baby teeth. This barely fit him. The back comes to the middle of his only adult molars. I am female with a small mouth that the dentist has to use the small fluoride trays on and this does not fit my mouth, it is too small!!!We are heading to Dick’s today to see if they have both the youth and the adult in stock so I can see which one we actually got.Overall product looks like it will do what it is supposed to, but it is very small so order accordingly.Because it seems to fit my son, I am giving it 5 stars, as that is why we bought it. If it turns out to have been repackaged, I will reduce my review to one star.

Take care while molding
The media could not be loaded. It says to bite down hard on the instructions... however I do not reccomend you bite down as hard as you can. I assumed I had to bite down with full force in order to get a good seal, but this is not the case. A good seal depends mostly on how the guard molds to the front of your teeth and the back of your teeth, not the depth of the impression. Make sure the gel contours up the curvature of your teeth, without squeezing it above and over the hard rubber section. Otherwise, the product is perfect. I will include a video to show how the guard should NOT look when you are done.

Perfect for our needs, sized right.
We have used these exact mouth guards for our son for the last two flag football seasons, though this year is the first year we ordered online. When we started using these our son was age 4.We used these when he was 5 and will be using these this year when he is six. My son loves these, the only issue we have is my son chews on the end, like every other kid on the team, when they are waiting to play for more flavor release. For those wondering, these are boil and bite which work fine, even when my son was 4.This. Rings me to the second smreason I felt.complelled to write this revoew. I have seen a number of reviews and answers saying these are for toddlers. Toddlers to me are ages 1.5 through 3 years old They should not be needing mouth guards, and if they do tthey would be for medical reasons, not sports. With that said, when mine arrived I thought dang these are small. So I went to Dicks, where we have gotten these same mouth guards in years past. As you can see.in the pictures, the mouth guard I received.from amazon (the one on the left) is the exact same size at the youth ones of this brand at Dicks which fit my son. I feel these mouthgairds are true to size and not meant for toddlers. However, if you have any questions on if they are save yourself the hassle, pay more.money and go somewhere local and buy what you think will work.

Youth mouth guard came damaged adult sized is how mouth guard should look
This was damaged and unusable when opened. I was really disappointed because this was a backup mouth guard for my 7year old football player. When I needed it, the product was completely unusable and I waited to open it until I needed it and now cannot return it. Picture for reference. Adult sized is how mouthguard should look. Youth sized I purchased is unusable. Waste of money.

Youth size smaller than expected
We bought the youth size for my 8 year old. It was way smaller than expected and didn’t fit his mouth. Even though it didn’t fit, the quality of the mouthguard seems very good.

Effective, Long Lasting, and Low Cost
I use these for my teeth grinding. It is bulky, but to me it is comfortable and I like it I have had many of these - They are affordable and last a solid two months. Easily shapes to your mouth, but the trick is getting water hot enough. I put water in a microwave safe coffee cup in the microwave for 4 minutes and it was boiling when I took it out. I popped this in for about 60 seconds and it was ready to be fitted. If the mouthguard starts to get smaller, almost as if it is curling up, it means it is ready to be removed from the water and mold to your mouth. Either blow it off or quickly run it under cold water briefly to cool it down, but it will be and should be quite hot when you put it in your mouth for molding. Then press all around the outside and inside of it while it is in your mouth. Do this while butting down and forming the guard to your teeth with your hands and your bite. This is bulky, but it is very comfortable and easy to breathe out your mouth. I’ve never broken crown while wearing these so I will say they sure do work and are sturdy and long lasting.
