Good for TVs with only one HDMI port
My bedroom TV is a small 24” one and a little bit of an older model, one of the early 2010s (maybe even late aughts) flat screens. It works well for my space. Recently the old DVD player I had for it died. In order to watch movies on the bedroom TV, I moved my living room Blu-Ray player into the bedroom and decided I’d upgrade the living room to a 4K blu-ray to go with my big 4K TV in there. Only problem? My bedroom TV is so old it only had one HDMI port (the old DVD player had an output jack). After a week of manually changing HDMI cords between my cable box and the blu-ray, I found this HDMI switch and it’s made this so much easier. Definitely solved my problem and allows me to avoid manually changing cords or buying an unneeded new TV.One caveat: any appliance not turned on won’t appear. I was worried the switch was defective because it wouldn’t give me a menu to change inputs. Once both attached devices were on, that problem went away.

It's cheap, simple, and looks good
Ugreen is a company that I have come to trust. They consistently provide quality products at reasonably low prices. Unlike a countless number of other companies on Amazon, Ugreen does not just re-brand some generic product that costs cents to manufacture. They have unique, and modern designs, as well as a build quality that is sorely lacking in most other cheap products. On to the review!Ugreen's HDMI switcher is exactly what I was looking for. A cheap 3:1 switcher that functions well, won't break after two uses, and LOOKS GOOD. It's amazing how many companies forget (or simply don't care about) aesthetics. The switcher has every port on the back side, which keeps the front and sides looking tidy and allows the wires to be well-kempt. The ports on the back are all well spaced, allowing even the widest HDMI cables to easily fit next to each other. This does cause some issues, though. The hub is a little too light, so the heavy and thick HDMI cables that come out of the back of the device easily pull it off a table, or force it to not sit flat. This is a tiny issue, and short of placing weights inside the device there isn't much else to do to fix this issue, although since it is not meant to be portable I would not mind this solution. On the bottom, the device only has four tiny bumps that are the same texture as the finish on the matte finish on the rest of the device. This allows it to slide around, which could be fixed by placing small rubber/ silicone feet on the bottom. The switcher has a micro USB port for power, but if your devices are able to provide power over HDMI then it is not strictly necessary. As I have a Chromecast (the original, I'm not sure if the new one works) that is always on and plugged in, I do not use the micro USB port. I have also tried using a cable box, but that does not provide enough power on its own, and needs either the USB port or the Chromecast to be plugged in as well.It also has a port for an IR receiver that attaches to a, but I usually don't use it. It seems a little unnecessary, as they could have easily placed a receiver within the box itself, like most other electronic devices do. Also, in case anyone was wondering, it does not work backwards, as in you cannot plug in one input and switch between three outputs.Overall, it is an extremely good product, and if I could give it 4.5 stars I would, but the fact that it is so light, that it has a large external IR receiver, and that there is nothing to keep it from sliding around the table prevent it from being perfect.

Works great - just be sure you have a good HDMI cable.
I was initially concerned when this did not seem to be working. After trying a few things I discovered that the type of HDMI cable that I was using did not properly carry a signal to the TV (the cable was a cheaper one from Walgreens). I swapped it for a CEC-compliant HDMI I had and it's working great. I also decided to take advantage of the micro USB power source outlet this unit has (I've read that these devices work better when powered externally). I just used an extra micro usb cable I had from an old cell phone charger and connected it to an unused USB port in the back of my Xfinity cable box.... worked perfectly. The remote does need to be aimed at the sensor, but works fine for my needs (about 12' away).I am using it to carry my Xfinity X1 HD cable, a Bluray player, and Xbox 360 - and all are working perfectly. This allows me to still have an extra HDMI port on my TV for occasional PC connection, or if I decide to add a firestick/roku etc. later (since my TV only has 2 ports). It also helped tidy up my wiring since I now only need one cable running to my wall-mounted flat screen. It is a bit lightweight if that matters to anyone - but posed no problem for me. Time will tell if it is durable as I have only been using it for a week - but at this point I am completely satisfied.

Doesn't work with my Playstation 5
Hoping to get a response to this but I'm rating this 3 stars as I cannot for the life of me get it to work with my PS5. It's plugged in but I don't get a picture on my TV when I switch the source on the box. I thought maybe it was an issue with my HDMI cables so I swapped cables. I switched them to different inputs as well and that didn't work. I then decided to disconnect the HDMI from the back of the PS5 and bring my Nintendo Switch from the other room and it works. From my testing it looks like this is NOT compatible with PS5. If this is not the case feel free to let me know what I did wrong. I just assumed that since it's compatible with PS3/4 that it would also carry over to the PS5.I will most likely return this product and buy another one that supports all my devices.Pros:- Easy to set up- Have 4K Firestick, and Nintendo Switch hooked up and those are working fineCons:- Remote is kind of iffy and I found myself having to stretch out my arm to get it to read the change or walk up to the TV w/ the remote.- Doesn't support PS5 gaming console
