29” Air shock - great value
While this product is not the same as a high end Fox or RockShox fork it is a great value for its price. It is quite lighter in weight than my stock Rock Shox XC30 and has great feel when properly inflated to the correct psi for the rider.Seating the lower headset race was easy and required no filing of the head tube. The aluminum steer tube was hard enough to place in a vice for cutting without ovalizing yet easy enough to cut through with a good blade. Most likely an extruded tube. The fork, like all forks, does not come with a star nut.I have only done about 20 miles once I installed it on single track and it performs above its priceline. The lockout switch will not reach your left hand side if you want that. The cable is too short. So have a spare shifter cable and housing ready if you want it on the left.Great fork. Looks good. Good response and feel on single track.

Great fork for the money
Have it on one of my kids bikes, so far it works well, alot better than coil forks for lighter riders, good price.Good communication from seller on resolving a damage in shipping issueupdate1- after checking it out a little i found that it is not 120mm of travel as it was advertised, after contacting the seller i was told that the 26" fork does only have 100mm of travel, would have been nice to know before purchase because i chose this one over others because of the advertised 120mm, still working good though.

Nice 29" Fork
Well Built and finished Fork, will work well for intended purpose, Has the inflation and safety stickers on the inside of the fork Legs. This Fork for is not intended for Down Hill or Free Ride (Safety sticker), I purchased the 29" version an it is a Tapered Fork (1 1/8 x 1.5") Check with seller for Steer tube type (Straight or Tapered). for the size your looking for (26"/27"/29" Fork) Seller was fast and professional in resolving questions in regards to the fork. The fork has Sag percentages on the right side fork leg but not a o ring to easily see where it is set too. Fork legs are 32mm. The fork stickers on My unit are very subdued {Blackout) not like the ones shown in the picture. This fork has Remote lockout, Looks to be a SR Suntour type lever/Kit, I Haven't used the lock out trigger as its a pop top trigger, I prefer a Thumb trigger style like the Wolf Tooth Components trigger remote, The lockout was already attached to my Unit not detached as shown in the pictures. The Fork also has a damper adjustment on the Right leg, it rotates approximately 14 twists, its attached with a Hex screw not just pressed in Like other forks.

I wanted to love the fork, but...
Item was received 8/11, installation went smooth and quick. I rode around town afterward, and really enjoyed the fork. On 8/12 I went to a trail. The trail was rather smooth dirt, uphill, and downhill. I was about 3 miles from my truck when the fork failed. I had to walk out. The first pic is what it looked like installed, the second shows the fracture. I didn't expect Rockshox or Fox performance, but come on. I certainly won't go for a cheap alternative in the future, save your money and get a Rockshox

Good quality shock.
Update: Honestly if I could give these shocks 10 stars I would. I am an intermediate rider and have been able to take these shocks on some pretty rough trails. When I had them mounted even the bike shop said they were a really good shock. I had a question about the shock after install and customer service went well above expectations to resolve my concern. I will attach pictures later. Great looking and performing shock. Great investment!Lighter than stock shocks on bike. Smooth motion. Only been able to take on 2 biking trips with them but seem durable.

Rode it for a year
First impressions were that it looked good and felt solid. I rode it for a year and it held air. Unfortunately, the cap on the right side kept coming loose and the bolt on the bottom of the right side wouldn’t tighten or loosen. It just spun. The shock was really slow to respond to bumps. Some times it felt like it didn't collapse at all, even when I reduced the air pressure. After about a year I let out the air pressure to see if it would collapse 100mm. It only collapsed 80mm. My recommendation is to spend the extra couple hundred dollars and get a better shock.

Improvment from stock shocks....
I bought this fork to upgrade my stock spring SUNTOUR shocks. From the reviews i read i figured it was worth the investment for my budget build on my 2013 TREK 8.3 Duel sport.Took it to my local bike shop to get it installed and took it out to the tails the next day. The shocks performed well and i am pleased with the purchase. For the price i really cant complain, the air held up in the shocks the whole ride( no air leak) , it didn't bottom out because the rubber O ring never reached the to of the bar.So if you looking for a cheap fork , and you want to upgrade from the stock spring shocks on your bike this would be the one. I did not want to spend a lot of money because my stock suntours were working perfectly fine, but i felt like i wanted something more stable and reliable for the bumps and hills. The fork i ordered was _straight tube_ w. remote lockout, which works great nothing special. on 29inch wheels, QR***There is NO rebound adjustment , NO air adjustment for these forks.***Only a valve stem for the air on one side and and remote lockout switch on the other!!!I would recommend for someone who has a big box store bike or any low end bike that wants a improvement for a more enjoyable ride.

Good bang for the buck
I'm not sure what "sheerness" is but I gave it 4 stars anyway. Got this to reduce the weight of my girlfriends 29er as the stock fork was mostly steel (heavy) and did nothing much in the suspension department. This is very light, holds air well, actually works and is great for the rail trail and dirt road riding that she does. I would not take this thing down-hilling or on a typical northeastern PA rock strewn trail but that's not what it's for. Easy to install and setup. Looks fantastic on the bike. Be careful with the sliders, they scratch very easily. Star nut is not included and you will probably have to cut the steer tube to size.
