Very heavy duty, their unique system makes them infinitely adjustable. I have eight if them (two this size and six of the larger size). They are great for large meal fabrication. It’s easy to level several large pieces for welding. More accurate than the shop floor and definitely easier on the body.

Very nice stand ,well built for many years of use.Worked perfect for holding bow while repairing trailer.

These screw jacks perform fantastic. I use them for holding auto bodies and frames, roll cages, etc... and I can't complain about their functionality at all. They are exactly as described. On the aesthetics side however, they leave a LOT to be desired. The yellow paint on these is obviously poor quality. Further, it appears that the metal was not prepared properly prior to the single coat of cheap paint that Sumner Manufacturing applied to these. In fact, the is not even a coat of primer under the single coat of yellow paint. I have no idea why a company such as Sumner Manufacturing would not invest in a powder coating oven for their products. It would take their product quality to the next level and help to justify the premium price that one pays for the product. Once I finish the current project I am working on, I will be media blasting these and powder coating them myself.

Heavy duty, this is the smaller of the sumner stands but works great

Use this as a safety jack when working under my riding lawn mower. Does exactly what it is supposed to do. I now have no worries when working on the mower. Very sturdy and high quality material.

Base uses 2.00 x .093 wall (13 ga) tube, with a rough seam on the inside. Extension tube is 1.767 x .093 wall galvanized tube. Acme screw is 1.500 x .220 wall (5 ga) tube, with a 1/4" thread pitch. The intermediate tube extends up to 11 inches. The acme screw extends up to 6 inches.The saddle is .400" thick. The lock washer is 3.25 OD x 1.80 ID x 0.187 thick.Construction quality is not great. The welds are uneven, undercut on some parts, and thin on others. At full extension, the saddle wobbles so much that it is not usable - a full 2 inches back and forth. I would say that the max usable height is more like 28 inches, and even then it's wobbly.The lock washer holds the entire weight. There is no locking pin or other mechanism holding the load. I calculated that the washer would start to yield at about 3000 lbs, which is not much of a safety margin, especially considering that the engagement on the tab is minimal.The set screw is worthless, it says that it locks everything for transport "no loose pieces" but that's completely wrong. The set screw only locks the extension tube, the heavy acme screw / saddle part is free to fall on your foot.These are made in China, are inexpensive, and you get what you pay for. I'm using them at about 1/4 rated capacity in a non-critical manner, so they will do. Funny also all 4 of the ones that I bought have a sticker on them that says "Max Height 49 inches." I was going to give 2 stars but I give 3 for the funny sticker. But seriously, this is some really poor quality control. Oh almost forgot: Worst. Packing. Job. Ever. I don't know who packed these for shipping, but it was super bad.

I ordered a pair (high/taller) version before through different seller......I decided to buy a pair of shorter/lo version.When I ordered it, they were expected to be delivered between the 24th through 29th......and it showed up today, the 20th !!!I was like WOOWW !! I know I would be happy with the items, but showing up 4 to 9 days earlier made it 5 stars !Thanks!

The seems sturdy enough. It is the basic "Made in China" quality if you know what I mean. Think Harbor Freight. It is straight and true and seems to function well. Unfortunately for the review, my application is very light, so I can't speak to how well it supports heavy loads.I knocked off stars because it is advertised as having removable legs, the legs on my stand are fully welded. The legs DO NOT come off. Also they did a terrible job of packaging the stand for shipment. It showed up scuffed and scratched. See pictures below. I know it's just a work tool and not expected to have an easy life ahead, but still I like my new purchases to arrive looking, well, new and not used.Overall, I am satisfied with the stand and the fact that the legs don't actually come off isn't that big of a deal to me in the end. I liked the idea because I was going to take it apart for storage as I will seldom use this stand, but it's not that big and not that hard to store. Hope this helps somebody.
