This thing is so cool!
I knew these things were cool, and that's why I bought it. I had no idea just how cool though. I am using a pretty basic hardtail 29'er mountain bike, with just a 1x10 drivetrain, and it's working great. I started with a video on Tacx Fitness App that they called "easy" and I was sweatin big time. I also uploaded some GPX files of rides that I do regularly from Strava, which is super fun. Extremely quiet, very easy to set up and use. I was really torn between this and the Wahoo, and chose this because the Wahoo was out of stock everywhere. So far i'm not missing the Wahoo at all. I recommend this highly.

It works great
It is a great trainer and gives a very realistic resistance compared to the road

A great trainer after I solved the connection issue. I can't say the same for the software.
I had trouble staying connected via bluetooth dongle and ant+ dongle, although it worked fine on my Iphone. I ended up adding a good bluetooth card to my PC. Now the trainer works great. I wish I could say the same for Tacx software. Everything was fine until my free trial was close to being up. I have tried to upgrade to a paid subscription but Tacx Cloud is not working and there is nothing I can do until someday maybe it works again. I guess I'll try Zwift again:(

Set up and Zwift in 30 mins
Box arrived in great shape. Dumped it out on my floor, didn’t read the instructions and had it running on Zwift in 30 mins. The Tacx Training app on my ipad let me set my weight and also turn off Ant+ (recommended elsewhere to make connection more stable). Killed off the Tacx Training app, launched Zwift, paired the Tacx as a power source and also a controllable platform. Away I went. I have worked on my own bikes a bit so I already have some tools that are specialized for removing/replacing a cassette (the gears on the back wheel). Probably easier to take it to your local bike shop and pay a few bucks to get it done and not buy tools. A good reason to say hello again. Since I turned off Ant+ I was not able to connect my Garmin Edge 1030 to the Tacx as a power or speed source. I’ll try turning Ant+ back on to see how that goes. Software on the Tacx was up to date. I checked it via the Tacx Training app. Riding on the trainer in Zwift was very nice. I previously had a basic CycleOps oil bath trainer. To simulate hills I used to shift my bike to higher or lower gears to get the cadence and power level where I wanted it. For example - Sufferfest would want me at 90 RPM and 150 Watts. I shifted my gears until I had that combo. I got better at getting to the right setting but there was often a delay in getting it right. The Tacx Flux 2 talks with the Zwift (or sufferfest) app so when the app wants to simulate a hill it automatically cranks up the resistance. Now I grab my gears to react to that - just like on the road. It is less distracting especially when working hard.

Received used and broken item from Bicycle Addiction
Purchased from " Bicycle Addiction" I received an obviously used item in a box that was falling apart. With bad weather incoming I figured I would just set it up and if all worked I would deal with cosmetic issues. The trainer was completely siezed and even with my full bodyweight standing on a pedal I could not get it to spin. Called Garmin/Tacx support to troubleshoot, I ended up calling Amazon to return and file a complaint as it is completely unacceptable to send a used and broken item when a new one is purchased. My replacement (fulfilled by Amazon) arrives tomorrow, I hope I can add to this review with my thoughts on how the trainer actually works.
