Good Value and Quality - Counterweights or Securing into One Position Sold Separately
Great value for the price. Seems to be sturdy enough to support the video camera for my application and mounts onto the tripod easily.Only drawback was that I didn’t realize that there is no way to lock the assembly into position. Basically it is made to maneuver, pivot, raise and lower as you record either video or take pictures. For my application I need to secure into a fixed location. The arm came with a eyelet that I could attach weights or strap and that works for me. Other items I looked at had some weights or other methods to secure although some noted they are sold separately. The item’s description is accurate I just didn’t pay attention to the details, so no reason to lower the rating.Used for about a month now (Weekdays) and it’s still working as needed and I put it up and take it down every day.

Solid, light weight, and versatile.
Solid, but light weight. Extends to good length and can be used to shoot video above obstacles. Balances well and allows smooth panning and elevation.

Great construction, limited features
This simple machine is beautifully constructed, and I know it will last a long time if it is not abused (definitely not a "rental quality" super heavy-duty hardware). I also own two microphone boom poles made by the same folks (Sevenoak/Boya) and using the same materials - literally the same carbon tubes and the same machined aluminum locking collars. Those two boom poles have been excellent, and survived many trips and many productions over the last year. So I have confidence this one will be fine too. My only regret - and the reason for the loss of a star, is one of functionality. I of course KNEW when I made the purchase, that this unit does not include tilt functionality, but I did not realize how much I would wish it had tilt. That said, I have used this in combination with my Moza Air 2 gimbal (and a lightweight DSLR, the Fuji X-T3) to great result, and the gimbal gives me not only smooth and convenient remote control over tilt, but also panning and manual focus pulling. It's a little cumbersome to have all that mounted on the jib, but the combination is truly dynamic and makes for some amazing, big, smooth, sweeping camera moves.

Can't beat this price...
This jib allows me to get unique, professional shots. Adds a lot of production value to what I do.

Pretty much crap but with salvageable parts.
I set this crane up to take some test shots. My camera rig weighs just under 6 lbs. The first time I lifted the crane, the top bar snapped in half. Thankfully, the rig was only a few inches off the ground and neither the camera nor the lens were damaged.I could return the crane, but it would require going to a UPS store and I live in the middle of nowhere. The closest UPS store is more than a two hour drive. So, I disassembled the crane and replaced the garbage bars with a $13 piece of 10ft fence rail tubing cut into 4ft and 6ft pieces. Now it may be a little heavier and isn't adjustable but it works just fine.

Cheap and weird
It's ok for the price but there are some things to note.First, it's pretty low quality. If you tighten the locking knobs too much it can scratch the "carbon fiber" which I think is just plastic with a coating on it. I've even heard it creaking and small cracking sounds when doing this or just moving it around. It doesn't have great instructions. It's pretty much assembled, but there are a few things that don't make sense about it. Some of the accessories didn't have an obvious way to mount them or use them. Even when following the instructions. It comes with an optional mount to give more mounting angles. The optional mount is just an l shaped bracket, and the only way to attach it with what is given doesn't help much. It allows a few inches Lower than the normal mount to get closer to the ground, or to turn the camera to the left or right, which can be done my just mounting the camera sideways on the normal mount. It also doesn't really have a way to be mounted that I would trust to put my camera on.
