The whole assembly is cast and made very well. Easy to install and use. Holds my RV door open in very windy conditions. Well worth the extra cost over a regular plastic model that won't last long.

We ordered these as the ones on our livestock trailer were broken. These were super easy to install and work great.

Works well so far. No experience yet with holding the door open in windy conditions, but it should be better than the plastic ball catch that originally came on the trailer.

If your tired of your trailer door closing on you, especially if there's little light inside (No vent on top). This is a must have. Very cheap and easy to install. Be sure to have screws on hand.

Strong latches and have already ran into some windy situations and they hold firm.

Works perfectly, installs easily, and much better than using one of the plastic “RV” type door holder-opener.

Others are shaped like a "T" and many of them don't have a slight bend in them to meet the open door just right, they just stick straight out. Some that have the bend, still don't meet the door properly and are hard to disengage. This one, made from Aluminum doesn't need a specific angle between door and latch, it centers on a rounded catch and snaps (locks?) into place to hold the door open. I Like this one because it's strong, doesn't have an angle to match up and it's aluminum so it won't rust like the others. I'm still working on a one handed latch release though but with practice it will come..
