The glass is thick and very durable. My only gripe is the top piece (the cover) is much larger than the bottom piece. I’d prefer if the 2 pieces fit a little tighter. When using Parafilm you really have to try and stretch more towards the bottom to fill the gap between the 2 pieces.

Reviews for this company had me worried that the material and shipping might be sub-par. It was nothing like that. The dishes came well packed with no breakage and will fulfill the need that I have. Good job and good product.

3 out of the 5 were broken even though the packaging seemed to be ok. When I ordered them I had read this in the reviews from other people and hoped that it wouldn't be the case for us. Unfortunately it was. UPDATE: We opted to try again instead of just returning them. We asked for an exchange and first off instead of the 3 week delivery from the first order this time it is was delivered in less than a week - Great! 4 out of the 5 were good! Only one broken. We have what we need so we are good. Quality is good on them but they need to reconsider additional packaging. Packages are not handled with care with going through delivery services, they throw things around; especially small packages like this.

GUYS, A PETRI DISH SUPPOSED TO CLOSED PERFECTLY WITH ITS LID. In my opinion this petri dish doesn't have lid, it just has another sized petri dish pack in to the same box. The lid supposed to match the petri dish perfectly. Don't waste your money on this
