Excellent value for this used motherboard model
The CVCP seller is solid. The board (version 1.0) is a great value for the price, but make sure the board specifications are a good match for your planned use and expectations. The heatsinks onboard are thin or non-existent, so do not expect to apply heavy CPU overclock settings. Make sure to go to the manufacturer online site to download any needed firmware and bios update. My received bios version is f8--there's a beta update f9a, which I may upgrade to in the future. Windows10Pro64bit is running without trouble and I'd expect most linux distros to run the same or better. With access to genuinely inexpensive DDR3 and cheap lga1155 CPUs, this MB would be an excellent purchase.

Can't beat it at this price
I bought this motherboard as part of a rebuild of my HP-180T core i7 (LGA 1366) desktop, in which the motherboard had failed. I needed a Micro ATX LGA 1366 board, but it turns out nobody makes those anymore. I finally settled on this motherboard, and at the same time I sprung for a second generation (LGA 1155) core i7 CPU (another $300), since my first generation core i7 CPU would not fit in this board's socket. This board was easy to install, and pretty much fulfills all my needs. The BIOS is very advanced, has really slick menus, and a really neat 3D view that explains the different parts of the motherboard. I also liked that the BIOS pauses during startup long enough for you find the key needed to enter the setup menus. There were a few small disappointments, which I will list here:1) the USB connections are all dual (9 pin) connectors; in order to connect all four of my front panel USB cables (4-pin type) I literally had to cut away some plastic from the connector.2) the two SATA3 jacks are turned sideways and stacked one on top of the other, so they are a little difficult to access to make a connection; but worse is disconnecting the cables (as I had to do once) because the lock on the connector is very difficult to release on the upper cable and impossible to access on the lower cable.3) it has only one PCI expansion slot, so if you have more than one older style card you will have to make some choices, as I did. I chose to leave out a TV tuner card that I rarely used anyway.4) the boot options menu is the most counter-intuitive process I can imagine. They have taken a process that is very simple and straightforward on all other BIOS setup menus that I have seen and made it as cumbersome as possible.

Not quite what I expected
I purchased this motherboard because I needed a mATX motherboard that could fit into a new case I ordered. I had previously owned an older ATX P67 board which worked well. This board is overall pretty good. It has four memory slots, room for two graphics cards, and a fair number of USB ports on the back, along with plenty of USB headers on the board itself for expansion cards. What I don't like about this board is the overclocking support. I can get my 2500K only up to around 4GHz. If I try to go a whole lot farther I end up running into issues with the power delivery (if I am correct.) Basically if I bump the processor up to let's say 4.5GHz things run, but the processor gets undervolted and runs at something like 1.6GHz. If I shut off the power management settings in the motherboard the system will just lock up. It gets to the point where it locks up before you can even change the settings in the BIOS. I have to go in and reset the BIOS using the clear CMOS headers on the board in order to get it working again. It isn't the cooler's fault, or the processor. I could get my 2500K up to 4.5GHz with the same cooler, on my older motherboard which actually cost less than this board.I'm kind of dissapointed because of the whole overclocking issue. 4GHz isn't all that bad, but I wanted more. Maybe I'll be able to find a used 1155 board in a year or so that can overclock a little better than this one can.If you aren't overclocking, this is a great board, at a great price.

Great motherboard
Every couple of years I build a PC. A few years back I bought a gigabyte and it worked great, but I've always had a soft spot for Intel. This year I bought an Intel board.Bad move. The Intel board was defective. After all of the installation work I isolated a fault in the green board. I had to go through the hassle of returning it, etc.And I replaced it with this Gigabyte Micro ATX form - and it works great. USB 3 ports galore, integrated sound. Perfect fit. Everything was clearly labeled, every plug/card/etc. fit with no drama. The Gigabyte utilities are useful, too.I threw a Core i5 into it. We use the PC that this board anchors as our Kitchen Computer. We use it to watch videos, listen to iTunes, "Dad, you have to see this meme" type of things. It runs fine. No problems.Next time I'm board hunting I won't stray. I'm a Gigabyte customer.

Only one 16X PCI-E slot is set for >=8X capability
So Crossfire and SLI are out of the question, since they require two or more PCI-E slots that are 8X or higher. This appears to be a price bracket thing, because it's my understanding the required 16X hardware is in here, just locked out to its full potential by the motherboard bios. So you may want to look elsewhere to have expandability. Other than that, it's performed fine. It's probably not worth it saving a few bucks to deny yourself options in the future, though. I saw "Crossfire" and assumed it could do it, but that's the old, now obsolete Crossfire standard, not the new one. And definitely not SLI. Two 16@16X, or one 16@16X & one 16@8X should be the minimum PCI-E requirements you entertain.

Works Great!
I'm a 20 year repair and system builder. I've been using Asus mobos for the past 10 years and I have to say that this mobo install went every bit as well as my last Asus mobo. It is a solid mobo with Japanese solid state capacitors and a great bios. I replaced a failed Acer Mobo in a Gateway Computer.
