Very nice fit and finish, easy to install, convenient features
This is the 2nd Zenith medicine cabinet I purchased. The first was purchased through Home Depot about 8 yrs ago. I don't think they carry it anymore. I had a can of insect repellent "explode" its bug spray contents inside the cabinet (due to freezing temperature when house heating failed). Bug spray, I learned, will melt paint -- any kind of paint. It cannot be scraped away and cleaned up and repainted. Its oils remain embedded. (Just so you know.) So, I looked online for an identical replacement and found it. There are a few minor changes from the product that I originally purchased 8 yrs ago. But, the new model is identical in appearance. The installation has changed a bit, making it easier to hang. The old model had "blind holes" in the back of the unit, onto which the screws in the wall would fit, and the unit would then hang like a picture. But you had to be very precise in installing the screws so they would slip onto the blind holes. The new version allows you to screw the mounting screws (not supplied) into the wall from the front, so there is no precision required. You just have to position it exactly where you want it and make sure it is level. This is easier to do with a helper, but I did it by myself with some ingenuity. To lessen the weight, I removed the heavy mirrored door before hanging the unit. Because the holes can be marked (from the front) before installing, you can install wall anchors if necessary, then attach the unit to the wall into the wall anchors that you positioned. This is very easy. For those who have remarked that this unit is difficult to install, or don't like the pre-positioned holes, I believe that these people are not adept at do-it-yourself carpentry projects. For the typical do-it-yourselfer, this is an easy install, and does not require installation into studs (so long as you use some sort of anchor, of which there are many kinds). The "fit and finish" of my units was excellent for both units. The fact that there is a mirror both inside the door and on the outside of the door is a nice feature. Lots of room inside, with 2 adjustable glass shelved (total of 3 shelves to place items onto.)So, to sum up: I liked my first unit so much that I decided to buy a second when I needed a replacement.

Buyer beware
What I like: This is a solid cabinet. It's heavy, which can be a positive or a negative. The beveled mirror is beautiful and the tempered glass shelves are a classy touch you won't often see in a cabinet of this price. The door clasp is well made and looks as though it will last. Overall, the look is great and the interior of the cabinet is roomy. What I don't like: Be sure to open the box outside or in your garage. The styrofoam will shed all over your house with little bits floating EVERYWHERE. My unit arrived with a fractured door. One of the joints had split in transit. I was faced with trying to piece all of the styrofoam back together to ship it back or attempting to fix it myself. I chose the latter. With some wood glue, a clamp and a well-placed screw I was able to fix the fracture. Not everyone has the ability to do this. From what I've read in other reviews, this isn't an unusual problem. The cabinet is very heavy. You will need two people to hang it if you use the instructions. I didn't have anyone handy, so I made a template with a couple of pieces of paper taped together and using an awl to mark where the drilled holes are on the cabinet. Draw a line between the two and use a level on the line to make sure it's level. The manufacturer should have provided appropriate hardware to hang the cabinet. It would surely have only cost them a few cents to do so. Whatever you do, use something heavy duty because of the weight of the cabinet.Overall: It's very nice looking, has glass shelves, and a beautiful beveled mirror. That being said, it appears that they have some shipping problems in that the joints in the door tend to separate or split. The unit is very heavy and requires heavy duty hardware that is not included. The price is right, but there tend to be problems. If I had it to do over again I wouldn't have purchased this item.

Heavy, nearly impossible to hang. Lots of space, though.
Visually, this cabinet was what I was hoping for. Practically, it has two adjustable shelves unlike another cabinet brought to the market by Zenith. That said, it is just about impossible to hang this piece without two very strong people and a miraculous tool that can tighten a screw at a 90 degree angle behind a door closure magnet and in a hole you can't see.Without that you rig it.We used very strong picture hanging wire to loop through the cabinet's holes and run through and around it two or three times and then twisted to shorten the wire. Hanging it on picture hooks didn't work, so we ended up with nail (larger head to hold the wire) and then screwed a screw inside the cabinet towards the bottom of the cabinet so it didn't swing every time the very heavy door (what's with the mirror on the inside of the door??) opened.I can't say I'm thrilled with the purchase except to say it was one of the few white cabinets of the right size with the right number of adjustable shelves available for less than $200. The design of the hanging mechanism leaves a tremendous amount to be desired. If you're a mere mortal, plan on spending the better part of a morning hanging this beast.Happily, when you're done, it should hold just about all the pharmacy you have lurking in an out of the way place.
