Star Trek Starfleet Command Division Badge Prop Replica

Son and I are very pleased with this item. As noted in other reviews, it is metal, no plastic. It has a nice weight, solid but not enough to sag on clothing. Two tack-style pins with squeeze caps keep pin from swiveling on clothing.The retail package is attractive, not exceptional. The front window panel lifts, almost jewel-box fashion. It isn't a jewel or display box, but relatively light cardboard. Didn't feel flimsy and ours did have a color background behind the pin.That said, it is cool and fun, and we are glad to have it! We also ordered the Star Trek Science badge, so I'll copy this review to that page, as that one is equally nice, ours was from a different seller.(While not a part of this 'product' star rating, I'll note that it arrived promptly, was appropriately packaged, and was in brand-new condition)

I bought the pin so I could be Captain Kirk for Halloween. It came in a timely fashion with all its pieces (namely the two pin covers on the back) and was in perfect condition. The two pins on its back hold it up very well instead of letting it get top heavy or wobble around too much.Now if you wanted to get really detail oriented I can tell you that you can see the small scratches in the metal from being formed. But they are so small that you can't see them unless you look hard and it is still smooth and lustrous like the picture. I find I like the little things because they give it a bit of texture and maybe indicate that Captain Kirk has already gone through some battles.Be assured that if you want a Star Trek captain's badge then this is the one you should be getting. It is a great size (big enough to not get lost in the fabric or anything) and weight (not too heavy to pull down your shirt but heavy enough to lay right and solidly).

1. Very accurate to the latest Start Trek movie.2. Not as thick as you would think (while the picture above does not show a side profile, it looks thick)3. Real metal. A good thing in this world-o-plastic.4. The writing and badge design on the box pictured above is photo-manipulated ("photoshopped") as the writing on the box you get is barely visible.5. The background behind the badge in the box that you get is brown, not yellow/gold as seen above.6. It has two pins to hold it securely and upright to whatever garment you attach it.7. The badge is heavy. You may want to find a way to anchor the back of the garment you use or ensure you are using a thick enough fabric to prevent sag.8. Brushed finish is nice. These are still obviously mass produced, so a little cleaning up via better brushing and removing some flash may be necessary to make it picture/conference perfect.9. Will try to remember to post detailed pictures once my new HTC Evo 4g arrives.Overall great product. Looking forward to obtaining the rest of the badges. Someone want to gift them to me? They are on my wishlist... (hint, hint) :]

I haven't opened it, but I've heard great things about this and the Command one was notoriously rare--the price was exorbitant everywhere I looked--but since it was fairly rare (on the contrary, the Science and Engineering ones was really easy to find, and pretty cheap too! Everyone wants to be Command!) and apparently made of real metal, I took the shot and spent what extra bit of money I've had on this badge (it would look really cool on a jacket, plus I just bought a Beyond survival jacket t-shirt recently, although it's not here yet).It does look as great as the reviews and the rarity suggested, although I have yet to pry it off its packaging (but I'll do that soon). Unfortunately, I had been hoping for the cool yellow/gold box packaging with the huge COMMAND written above it, so that's the reason I'm knocking off a star. Instead I got a fairly shabby typical toy packaging, although it had Chris Pine's Kirk and Zach Quinto's Spock on it and I'm a huge fan of the movies, so I'm not really complaining.Anyway, I'm proud to add this to my growing collection of reboot Trek merch, and it looks great sitting next to my Kirk survival suit Funko Pop and my Countdown to Darkness comic. I think it's probably a must have if you're a huge fan since it's a good prop piece.

The media could not be loaded. This badge looks awesome—even better than it looks in the pics on the listing. I get lots of compliments on it. I love it! It’s metal, has a nice weight to it, just the right thickness, and I want to buy them for my friends. 10/10 would recommend.

Bought this as an anniversary gift for my Husband. We are both BIG star trek fans. He loved it!It is metal, so it doesn't look like it's cheaply made/fake. Looks really good in person! It has some decent weight to it, which I thought might pull a shirt down a little or stretch it out, but it has two attachment points that seem to help distribute the weight a little so pulling is minimal.We recently went on a cruise, and instead of just pairing the badge with a t-shirt, my husband wanted to include his love for things nerdy, and wore it on formal night. Everyone we met who was a star trek fan gave tons of complement, calling out "Hey captain" sometimes, which he loved!Those that didn't know what it was, to them, it was just a decorative lapel pin.

Solid construction, and perfect size for a costume! I'm very happy with it. The two pins are on the right side of the badge (the thicker side) and support the badge unnoticeably well. It has good weight, but doesn't droop your shirt. I would definitely recommend this product for any costume/cosplay. On a quite nerdy note: There is nothing like putting this on your shirt for the first time! It feels so real, you can't help but tap it and say, "(Your name) to the bridge."

This is not nearly as acceptable as a version that would be used on screen but it is an accurate replica and works well from a distance. The pins may be hard to connect / break easily but if you're looking for something just to use as a display, it is very good.

Die Verarbeitung des Abzeichens ist tadellos, wie hier auch schon angesprochen sind die Ränder sauber gelasert, keine Grate oder ähnliches.Ein Unterschied zur vorigen Version des Produkts, wie auch noch aus der Produktbeschreibung zu lesen, scheint zu sein, das Pin-Nadeln verwendet wurden. Mein Abzeichen (siehe Foto) hält mit Magneten am Gegenstück, was ich außerordentlich begrüße, wenn es wie hier gut gemacht ist.Die Magnete sind sehr stark, auch bei dickerem Stoff halten sie gut. Außerdem halten beide Teile deckungsgleich, da zwei versetzte Magnete angebracht sind, sie rasten sozusagen korrekt ein. Außerdem ist auch die Rückseite sehr hochwertig verarbeitet.Bin letztlich positiv überrascht, da das Abzeichen noch anders beschrieben ist und ich kein großer Fan der Nadeln bin, da grade hochwertige Stoffe doch darunter leiden.

Comes in a neat gold box with a gold ribbon and bow!,inside the badge sits on a padded base to which it is attached by its two slide clasps.The badge is very well made,weighty and smoothly finished,possibly chromium plated but could be stainless steel by the weight and texture,either way its a superb replica of the Command Division badge and causes interest from both Star Trek fans and those unfortunate enough to be half blinded by the amazing reflective powers of the badges mirror like finish if the sun hits it dead centre.Be prepared for this,set your phaser to stun,only use the kill setting for mothers in law!,it wont kill them,it probably wont even shut them up but its worth a try!,Live long and prosper!
