This is the one to buy has on off built in and that is huge
This power supply was purchased after another brand died. The great thing about this power supply is having an on off switch built into the control. It turns on and off with no dramatic sparks unlike the one I have shown for comparison. I took apart the other supply and it look well made except for the fatal flaw of no on off switch. When you plug that one in there is a spark from the plug and I think that's what killed it.This supply is only 2 amps and I don't recommend running it at the limit as no power supply should be run at its limit continuously. The only reason I didn't purchase this supply in the first place was the 2 amp VS 2.5 amp rating. I can tell you its worth giving up the 0.5 amps. This supply has a much longer power cord and so far has performed perfectly. I've even switched it on and off many times more than the other brand just to make sure that isn't an issue with this supply. Running 5 120mm fans in my attic for ventilation with this. Its so good I bought a second one so I can run the fans in two locations at different speeds. The output range isn't quite as wide as it says. The low range under a minimal load is 3.45 to 23.7 on one supply and the other supply is 3.44-23.9 volts. Confirmed the voltages were very accurate with a fluke mulit meter.

I was looking for...
..an adjustable voltage switching power supply of about 2 amps for replacing a rather power hungry LED aquarium light fixture's old, funky 110v AC- 21v DC power supply. The fact you can variably control the voltage is a plus as it adds a bit of dimming control. Switching power supplies rock as they make a lot of power in a small form factor, while wasting very little heat energy in the process.

nice little 3.2v to 12.6v at max ABOUT 3.5 AMPS DC POWER SUPPLY
POSITIVES: very small and nice looking, I like the green display, very handy .Regulation is just ok for this little thing.NO LOAD data: display=4.02 V(good luck in adjustment) ;output jack=3.8 V. 3.5 AMPS (1 ohm load) data: display=3.9V ;output jack=3.5 V so you have at 3.5 Amps , a drop of 0.3 V(10 % regulation) NEGATIVES: Max current is not 5 Amp but ABOUT 3.5 Amp. Full range data: display=11.8 V, load=3 ohms, output jack=11.2 V (3.7Amps) and 11.7 V in no load; so you have at 3.7 A/11.7 V (full range current/voltage) a drop of 0.5 V(about 5% regulation) so regulation is better at higher voltagesCase Temperature data at room temp of 78 deg F : For 20 minutes , on 3 ohms load, at 11 V on the output jack(3.6 A), the case temperature got to 108 deg F and the 3 ohm/30W resistors(the load) got to 250 deg F (there are no vents in the case; the case is air tight and the case stays on wood table;not heat conductive then) so I suggest making a lot of small holes all over the case(make sure you remove the guts first, GOOD LUCK!) IF you plan to use this thing at full range voltage/current. , The adjustment is relative continuous(no steps) but very difficult to get anything under 0.5 v variations within the 3.2 to 12.6 volt range. The voltage display is OFF (is bigger 0.2 V average) than the actual voltage on the output jack.

reliable adjustment range power adapter
This power supply is used to power up Vacnite floor lamp (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06VY86SZ6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1). The original power adapter of the lamp failed soon (within a year) of use. After trying several power adapters this one worked best. It powers up the lamp nicely and reliably, providing full power required. Continuous voltage regulator is a nice feature of the adapter. The adapter at the minimum, mid and high level shown on the picture.

Works Very well
I do like this power supply . It IS a bit touchy on the adjustments , but overall a GREAT value .Very satisfied .

Great small controlled power source.
This is a great way to control the voltage applied to the PWM control circuit. The PWM controlled is limited to supply the voltage it receives as an input ( 0 to 100%). This power supply feeds the PWM controller which is used to control a DC motor. If a motor requires more voltage to operate properly this power supply allows this adjustment. It is just what I needed for the control I put together.

Works as advertised & fit the bill for my project
My project involved converting many strings of fairy lights from individual battery packs to a single PS connected to a wall switch (call me lazy, but they're also located above the kitchen cabinets). The LEDs had unknown specs & no built-in current limiting resistor which I knew would be necessary, so I thought the adjustable voltage would be helpful to figure this out. Inside of an hour the redesign was complete & parts ordered. The voltage adjustment is not precise and a max 12.4V was reached at about 2/3 of the turning range. But, adjustment is very smooth with no signal noise. I plan to continue using these with a fixed voltage for this project, but am glad to have an easily adjustable PS around for the next such project or a quick fix to replace a wall wart, if needed.Despite the display showing about a 0.4V variance without touching the unit, output was actually rock solid per my meter and, once the display settled down after a few minutes, the indicated & actual voltages were right on.These issues were small for me and I certainly wasn't expecting a precise bench-grade test unit at this price. Still, a very handy PS in a small package to handle a range of devices.

Does not maintain the Voltage!
This will not maintain a voltage that it was set at. I adjust it to 18 volts and when I turn on the device it drops to under 7 volts and does not function properly. I've already altered this to try to get it to work so Unfortunately I will not be able to return it.
