APS iBoard Running Boards 5" Black Custom Fit 2007-2018 Chevy Silverado/GMC Sierra Crew Cab (Nerf Bars | Side Steps | Side Bars)

Just got these boards in, I previously had purchased the same branded boards but for my Crew Max Tundra. Overall I'm happy with the outcome so far. These took about 2 hours to install on a 2017 Silverado 2500HD Diesel. One thing to note is that there is no cutting needed for the plastic DEF tank shield at least for model year 2017. The main reason these boards get a 4 star is because the instructions are not the greatest. Installation of the front passenger bracket(for a diesel) is a total pain in the butt if you dont want to mess with lowering or moving the DEF Tank. It CAN be done. Just be prepared to get some busted knuckles and cramped hands as you try to wiggle the bolts into the 2" of accessible area.

2019 GMC Sierra 2500HD SLTThe driver side installed in minutes. So easy. The passenger side was a little more difficult because of my DEF tank. That front special bracket was a chore to get in place and yes, you will have to trim the DEF tank cover just a little. I think I trimmed less than 1” depth.

I've owned my truck over 9 years and love the way it looked. I never liked running boards on a two wheel drive. I can get in just fine. My wife on the other hand... not so much. i bought these because they don't stand out. After I installed the driver side, my son was walking up. I asked him what he thought about them. He said he didn't even notice them. NICE! They look good and now my wife can get in. Also makes it easier for me to dry the top after I wash it. Still kinda meh about having running boards on a 2 wheel drive though.

Just installed these boards today. Took about an hour and 15 minutes. Seem very sturdy. Looks good on my 2017 Chevy Silverado crew cab. The only complaint I have is the same as most. The front passenger mounting bracket needs assembly, which was a little tricky. However, I took my time and that particular bracket was as sturdy as the rest. All the hardware needed was included. The product was packaged well. Would recommend this as an alternative to any $300 to $500 nerf bars or running boards. The installation was fairly easy and saved a couple hundred bucks on install charges as well.

These looked great for about a year. Then the paint started coming off around the edges and look awful. It is so bad, I searched thru purchases from 2017 just to leave a review to warn people not to buy these running boards.They are sturdy and look great when you first install them, but have no life in them. A running board should at least last for 5 years before looking this bad.

Look good and appear to be solid. Not sure why APS can’t start just adding 6 normal brackets instead of the funky bracket for the passenger front. I literally spent 1 hour to get that one bracket installed and the other five took maybe 30 mins. No reason to have this bracket other than saving money and lazy to change it to 6x normal brackets. Big PIA To install the passenger front even after watching videos.

The product arrived on time and well-packed. The installation was also not too bad, although the directions could be organized a lot better. My biggest issue (and why I am not giving 5 stars) has to do with the number of brackets included. The unit comes with three mounting brackets for each side. That leaves a significant gap behind the last bracket and the back end of the running board. While the selling distributor stated that the boards are tested at 300 lbs and a fourth bracket is not needed, the appearance of the spacing leaves much to be desired. The selling distributor said they are not in position to send additional brackets, hence the review...

These are definitely not the most heavy duty but I searched for low profile and these fit the bill. I (like others) recommend getting help. The biggestproblem I had was finding the factory holes in the frame. After that it was it was pretty much -follow instruction.
