Glue inside sticks to hair causing breakage and pain when removed.
Really bad quality. The foam that is on the inside had residual glue and my daughter's hair got stuck to it. When we tried to remove the helmet, we had to pull it off, breaking her hair and causing pain.

Don't by this helmet for your child
My son felt on the ground, the visor's pegs have broken, and my son's head was injured. What for the visor??? Hate this helmet, not safety at all! Pinch-free buckling? False! Very disappointed!

Bell True Fit fast and easy fitting
When searching for a helmet for your kid, look for Bell True Fit. This is my daughter's 2nd Bell True Fit. Ignore the age listing for the helmets on amazon. You need to measure your child's head to see if their delicate brain will fit snugly. Know both the inch and centimeter measurement. Get a helmet for your child that fits at the bottom or middle of the scale. My child simply outgrew her last one. It was 50-54cm. This one is 52-56cm. All you have to do is adjust the chin strap to level the helmet.

A kids bike helmet is a helmet, but this is poor quality. NOT worth the $.
Super cute helmet! It arrived today and upon taking it out of the box (unfortunately I took off the tag first, otherwise I'd return) I noticed the visor part was hanging funny. Turns out the plastic anchors for the visor had been snapped off so it's just sloppily hanging on to the helmet. Since it hangs, it shows where the plastic shell of the helmet connects to the hard foam, and it isn't sealed or lined up, so it just bubbles out. If I push on it to try to close the gap, the other side pops out in response. Not impressed with the quality. But I loved the design for my daughter, the only reason I bought it. We have other brands for half the price that have held up for a couple years without this kind of wear. Super bummed that I paid so much for a cute hunk of hard foam that didn't stand up to the price.

Poor fit
This helmet does NOT have the basic adjustment options needed to get a good fit. There is no rear knob to make sure the helmet fits snugly around the forehead and doesn't move or shake. Instead there is small bit of elastic in the back that doesn't work as well. The side straps (that are supposed to connect like a V right under the ears) are stitched together and can not be adjusted at all! The V is far too big for our 7 year old. The only thing that can be adjusted on this helmet is the chin strap and if you tighten that enough, the helmet stays in place, but is not comfortable. The buckle digs into my kid's neck and causes noticeable discomfort. We ended up buying a better helmet from Walmart at almost the same price. Surprisingly, Walmart stocks much better Bell helmets which provide both the V strap adjustment and the rear knob adjustment for almost the same price ($19). So if you are attached to Bell for whatever reason - you're better off getting this from a Walmart/Target.

but it's useless.
The glue that holds the foam in place is poorly applied so it ends up grabbing kids hair. AWFUL to remove from kids head. We couldn't wear it more than once. I spent an hour trying to remove the adhesive, but it's useless.

Elastic Does Not Provide Any Security
Received this helmet, it doesn't adjust on the top part that goes around your child's head at all, the only adjustment this helmet has is on the straps. The circle part of the helmet has elastic in it to give it a little bit of "adjustment" from one size to another. This is unacceptable. Elastic will just deform on impact and cause the helmet to slip. Disappointed in this, Bell makes much better helmets.Sending it back. My kids only get one brain...its not worth saving a few bucks with this design.

Visor snapped with minimal impact
My child wore this helmet to ride his bike a handful of times in less than a month. Tonight, he tipped over while standing still and tripped on the bike, with the visor hitting the ground. There are minimal scrapes on the visor but the small plastic pegs holding it in place both snapped. For that small of a fall, this really is a product flaw and I would return it if I could.

Doesn't fit right
Says size 52cm to 56cm.My son is 53cm and it doesnt have a very good fit. The only way it will fit is tilted back exposing the fore head. Its definitely wide enough but not long enough front to back to fit properly. I wouldn't buy again and am looking for a replacement.

Not impressed by Bell Helmets but very impressed by Amazon!
Bought this helmet for our 6 year old Grandson. Helmet is the right circumference but hard plastic buckles on the back strap that have white reflectors attached, dig into his head. The back strap is not adjustable and is so uncomfortable, he refuses to wear it. Since we don't see our Grandson regularly, we missed the return window.I contacted Bell Helmets Customer Service to see if they had a solution, like extra padding that might be available. They said, sorry, nothing they could do, no other padding available. I then contacted Amazon Customer Service and made my case. The Rep couldn't have been more helpful. Offered a full refund and said he will send a report to the manufacturer about the problem. Excellent work Amazon!

Kids love these helmets but new strap design isn't as good.
My kids love these helmets and they are easy to put on with no adjustments. Unfortunately, Bell changed the strap on this one so it has more loose strap beside my daughter's face compared to the old design so I'm not as happy with this version, but I still really like the elastic at the back instead of an adjustable plastic system.

Not truly "adjustable"
I purchased this helmet when the toddler size became too small. It was advertised as adjustable. While there is an elastic at the back, it continues to slide off my daughter's head. I regret not purchasing a helmet with the adjustable dial at the back. Those helmets seem to fit varying sizes much better.

Great quaitly and price.
the young lady I bought for was thrilled to know she now has a helmet of her own, and not a hand me down. She LOVES the Butterflies on it, and her favourite colour is oink. Her parents were very happy too, as they have already taught her the 2 2 2 rule. There is lots of room for her to grow into it, but everything is still safe for her.
