Surprisingly Durable
This charger has been installed at an auto body shop for almost three years now. It's been beat up, exposed to all the elements, dropped, ran over, you name it and it still works just the same as the first day out of the box. Couldn't be happier.

High quality charger and customer support!
Purchased this back in 2021 based on solid reviews as well as the 25-foot cable. Charging was quick and reliable. Used this to charge multiple vehicles over the past four years: Tesla Model X, Tesla Model Y, Rivian R1T, and Jeep 4xe. Recently, the charger stopped working so I contacted Mustart's customer support. They were very responsive and helped me resolve the issue. Very impressed!

Stopped working 13 months after purchase, but they replaced it
The cord is sturdy and looks to be well made. I bought the charging cord December 12, 2021 and it worked fine with my 2015 LEAF. It stopped working March 9, 2023. I followed the trouble shooting tips and determined that my car and the outlet are both fine, it was the charging cord. The seller's Amazon site said it was covered by a 2 year warranty. The seller's contact information was not provided, and I had to reach out to Amazon. Amazon initially denied there was a 2 year warranty and kept saying I was past my 30 day returns period (obviously), and I had to persist in telling them that I was literally reading this language about the warranty on the Amazon site. Amazon had me on hold a long time, and I was passed around, but eventually I was given a link to contact the seller (CBY Corp). The seller is not the manufacturer (MUSTART) and they are in China and there was a lag caused by the time zone difference, but the seller was very courteous and cooperative to work with. I had to follow steps of taking a video while trying to use the cord and take a photo of the back of the power box on the cord, but once I did those they offered me choices of a solution that satisfied me. Considering that my local Nissan dealership sells their cord for $2,000, it was worth it to buy this on Amazon and then go through the work of getting a replacement. I was grateful that the seller did not expect me to mail back the non-functioning cord at my expense. They are quite heavy.

Very useful design
I picked this unit because of the chord configuration. I wanted a portable Class 2 charger knowing that charging stations and power receptacles aren't always easily found. I'm an experienced electrician so I picked this one because I could cut off the male plug and simply connect it directly to a breaker of any electrical box I can find. I also keep a few common type 40A breakers to fit a variety of electrical boxes so if there's a power box then I can usually find a way to connect and get a charge. The chord option on this unit had enough length to make this possible. Note that I don't recommend taking these steps if you're not trained on how to do such work, your life and property aren't worth that risk.

Convenient portable charger; good customer service
The charger works well (Kia Niro EV) and is less expensive than other options. The best feature is that it's portable (but you need a 220 socket); it packs up like a garden hose. I'm writing this review to mention and perhaps warn you that the charger worked without incident for about six months. One day, the charging would stop after about 45 minutes; I'd have to unplug, replug, and start again, but the charge would interrupt again after about 30 minutes. I read to reduce the charge so I adjusted it to 90% using the car's setting. This helped but the charging would interrupt after about 90-100 minutes. Same result at 80%. This not being a viable solution, I contacted Mustart, who asked me to first send a short video to document the problem. They replaced the product (free shipping both ways) promptly thereafter. The replacement charger works (for now) though I'll keep the charging power at 90%. Companies that stand behind their products and fulfill their warranties without undue hassle when problems arise deserve to be highly commended. I think that they will continue to work with me if I have another problem.

Stellar Features and Value for the Money
Certainly, there are many choices for third-party EVSE, and accordingly, chose this Mustart "charger" for several reasons over the others. Predominantly, it was very reasonably priced whereas others often cost twice as much and prove to do nothing more other than being, well, "trendy." But secondly, even at full price, there are but a very small handful that provide digital kWh and other pertinent charging information which provide specific data which is important, to wit: based on what my electric company charges per kWh, I can now tell precisely how much I am paying for the exact amount of energy I have discharged into my vehicle via its digital readout of several pieces of information! I like that. The fact that it sincerely seems solidly built, provides a 25 foot cord that allows me to charge my vehicle at any reasonable area within and far beyond my garage, comes standard with several mounting brackets for the EVSE body, cord and nozzle are but happy bonuses which facilitate sound organization and cord management. This Mustart product (I purchased the 40 amp only version to facilitate my newly-installed 50 amp breaker) is equal to all tasks and so far seems to be a stalwart performer. I might also add that the blue color adds a not-small amount of panache whereas others are gun-metal colored or otherwise boring aesthetically. The single "con" I might have is that I am not enamored that both power and charging cords not exit the body of the EVSE at both the top and bottom. However, a simple cord/outlet plan alleviates any awkward cord routing problems (i.e., I simply had my outlet placed high).I unequivocally believe one need not look further for an amazingly competent EVSE and highly recommend this to anybody with an electric vehicle.
