Yes, it's a very good lead and soft. The rubber stopper does have a tendency to move so be aware of this as if the led is slack it could be possible for the dog to slip its lead.

Q: What's the diameter of this slip rope?

Roughly about 1cm. I've bought several slip leads for our dogs and none of them have been right, they've either frayed easily, been too thick etc but the Dog & Field Gundog slip leads are amazing

Q: Would it be suitable for a Cockerpoo ?

Yes, I use it on a very strong and large German shepherd with no bother. It’s a good size for any medium or large dog

Q: Is this lead suitable for an English Setter?

Hi Carole, I can't see that the breed would make any difference to whether this lead is suitable. It's soft if your dog has bony bits I suppose. I bought this for my young Collie/Spaniel cross who pulls dreadfully. The trainer told me the tightening on the neck would dissuade him from pulling - it didn't. All that happened was that it got toghter and tighter till his eyes bulged. It doesn't release either like a chain would. If your dog is good on the lead and you just want one that it easy to slip over his neck to release him then it's good and gentle on your hands too. But it's not, in my opinion, suitable to help training for a pulling dog
