Bought this (while it was cheaper in price~) because of the variety of colors. The colors are pretty much true to what they show here on Amazon. Just slight duller. It is tricky doing your nails, especially if you have nail tips on to dip them in. I use a test tube dropper (plastic ones 3ml on Amazon) to get the powder on my nails. Have used all the colors by now (took 3 months to do so) and I’m happy with all of them except for the hot/cold color changing ones. For those you must have some sort of nail length in order to get the full effect of the color changing onto your nails. The powder itself was kind of lumpy when your dipping. So had to really file it down for it to get smooth. Also, let’s say you’re washing your hands, or knocks your hand around something cold, it does change color but looks funky. No fault of the dip powder formula just how it is when it touches something of a different temperature. Overall I did not care for the color changing one as it looks pretty in theory, but day to day tasks of doing things (hand washing, going in the sun, opening the freezer, etc) makes it look funky. The glitters are amazing. It’s like a medium grit so not super fine. The glow in the dark colors are amazing! It really does glow brightly at night and doesn’t fade away fast. Do have to do about 3 coats so it’s visible on your nails during the day. Overall I’m very happy with the variety for the price :)

This is a great dip powder kit! If you've never used dip before, please don't give this a bad rating... you just don't know how to use it Lol. I've been doing my own nails for some time and even in this rush job I did in the picture, the powder worked just fine. The colors are EXACTLY as shown. You get various shades depending on the number of dip coats you apply. Here are some tips for FIRST TIME USERS: 1. Do NOT apply step one (the base coat) to your cuticles or on the skin surrounding the nail... ONLY your nail bed! Essentially anywhere the base coat is applied, the dip powder will be too. If you want a clean look, just apply to your nail bed right below your cuticle to the tip of your nail. 2. Brush off ANY excess BEFORE applying step 3 (activator).

I’m a klutz, can’t do things right and every thing seem to be either crooked or misaligned, so my nails are of course crooked, but the products works pretty good in my opinion, nice and shiny, easy to use.

Listen I was skeptical when I ordered it but saw the reviews and thought I’d be bold enough to try it out anyway. Worst case scenario I can return it and tell everyone that it’s not as great as everyone claims it to be…I get my nails done every two weeks at the nail salon which can be pricey and time consuming finding time in my day to spend at the nail salon. I figured I’d try it out. Also wanted to use a product where my hands don’t have to be tortured by the UV lights which is why I chose this powder specifically. Took me a while to get around to trying it out (had to wait until my polish started to chip lol). I tried it out for the first time tonight and I am in love with the result! The directions are pretty easy and simple to follow. The pigment is actually pretty vibrant! Took me some adjusting from step to step so my first hand took me two tries to get it to look the way I wanted it to. Second hand was a breeze! I did buy a separate file and brush to get the excess powder off of my nails. (Just fyi). The acetone bottle for the cotton balls is so cute and efficient for giving you just the right amount to coat your cotton ball! If you’re doubting it, please take my word for it and just try it out! Be skeptical as I was and let the product make you a believer! This was worth every dime and I will be buying more colors. I started out with two color sets for prime day because they were on sale but if it lasts at least a week or two, oh I’m a lifetime customer! Try it!!!!!! It’s worth it! Did mine while watching a series on Netflix….no time wasted and no salon to suffer through! Just me, my tv show, and my comfy pjs!!!! That’s what I call living!!!! Thank me later!!!! Coins stay in your pocket, time stays on the clock! ;) Enjoy!!!! Oh pssst- it actually gives your nails a bit of strength too! So if fragility is an issue, this should help with that as well. Only downside…the glitter is a bit coarse. Has to file it down a bit before applying the gel phase because it’s rough to the touch. Filed it down some applied the activator (bottle 2) and then the gel and the color didn’t lose any luster! Just do it!!!! And go be fabulous! :)

I have naturally brittle nails, and salon dip every two weeks was killing my budget. I switched to doing them at home with this kit. After some practice and patience, I’m impressed. The finish isn’t as crisp as a pro, but it looks good and lasts just as long on me. Application matters. Go slow and don’t rush. I do my nails at night so they can set undisturbed until morning. Be careful around the cuticles; that’s the trickiest part. One tip that gives me better control and wastes less product: I pour about half the powder into the tray but actually dip straight into the jar. I don’t use the tray for dipping itself. Value-wise, the powders are small, but for this price it’s still a deal, and each jar lasts for many uses. My one real complaint is the smell; the activator/solutions are strong. I keep the lids loosely on between steps and work in a well-ventilated area. Bottom line: if you can follow directions and take your time, this is an affordable way to get long-wear dip manicures at home.

The finish was clumpy. The product has a strong ( near toxic) smell I recommend you wear a mask when using it. I used it once, it's not as easy as they make it seem

Everything else was good, but the bottle that was meant to contain the activator was empty.. therefore making the kit unusable. Huge disappointment as I was so excited to try dipping.
