Yes, the inside bowl just lifts right out. Nothing to disconnect. It is sized so as to store in refrigerator with the enclosed "leftovers". It is dishwasher safe too.

Does this slow cooker actually hold 7 quarts? I am finding some 7 quart slow cookers hold as little as 5 quarts! Thank you for your time.

I'd guess at least six quarts, maybe seven. It's large enough for everything my partner cooks: stew, soup, lasagna.

Can you buy a replacement pot? Mine cracked the first time I used it.

Actually, when I received mine, the inner ceramic pot was OK but the outer case (control unit) was damaged...in the box...and the box wasn't even damaged. I sent mine back. However, since you have used yours, you will need to check with Amazon first to see if it's still returnable. If not, make a claim with Black & Decker as it should be under warranty. You could most likely order a "replacement pot" from B&D's website but they need to incur the cost with it being new. I know this may not be the answer you're looking for but I truly hope this helps. I personally think these units are just too cheaply made. They look really nice (my reason for buying) but, not really worth what you pay.
