You might in fact regret not buying it sooner. I have had a herniated disc for a little over a year now and I bought this about 6 months ago, and until then, I had not had a single decent nights sleep in over 6 months without the aid of a muscle relaxer. As far as dreading tossing and turning in discomfort all night and never feeling rested, this thing saved my life.I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews before investing in this pad and this was my experience. It came all vacuum packed in a pretty small box, so as the directions said I laid it out and let it rise. It does come with a pretty strong chemical smell so it says to air it out 24-48 hours. So learn from my experience here. I laid mine out on the floor with a fan blowing on it for 24 hours then couldn't wait and slept on it that night and the smell was still VERY strong and it gave me a terrible head ache. So I decided I needed to in fact wait the whole 48 hours. So this time, AND THIS IS WHAT I RECOMMEND YOU DO FROM THE BEGINNING, I draped the pad over a couple chairs with an oscillating fan blowing on it for another 24 hours in a well ventilated room and the smell was from then on never an issue again.After getting rid of the smell, this thing has been a dream come true. It is the only thing I can lay completely flat on my back on with nothing propping my legs up. It's not too firm and it's not so squishy that you sink straight through to the mattress underneath. My boyfriend weighs about 185 and he sleeps comfortably on it too.As far as some of the other complaints I read, mine rose to it's normal shape pretty quickly once I took it out of the box, and I've even vacuum packed it a few (dozen) times myself for travel and have had no problems. The smell is no longer an issue. It's supposedly cooling but I haven't noticed it being particularly cooler or hotter than a regular mattress, but maybe you can't feel the cooling effect through the water resistant cover? It's not too squishy for my liking. And yes it's kind of strange that nothing on the pad or cover have the brand written on it. But I don't need a tag with a brand as long as the product fulfills it's purpose, and it does!I couldn't live without this thing. I seriously make my poor boyfriend lug it around anytime we stay somewhere because my back gets completely destroyed without it. If you have back issues or problems sleeping or both, I cannot urge you enough to buy this. Seriously. Do it. DO IT NOW!! Just received this - second one we’ve purchased - the mattress pad is different and feels cheap and plastic. So far the mattress topper itself is nothing but lumps and easily 3-4 inches short on the top, bottom and sides. Will see if it flattens out and expands but so far this one is horrible and may get returned.UPDATE: It took about 3 days but if finally flattened out. One item that is still not right -the mattress pad cover is not as pictured - I have ordered this exact same Beautyrest from another seller before and received the more quilted/soft cover - the one I received is terry cloth/plastic feel - crunchy like a little kids mattress pad. Not what is pictured or expected. Hoping they will send me the right one so I don't have to return it.

Item does appear to be a "generic" mattress as there is no branding of any kind that I found. It had a slight odor that was not unpleasant. Allowed mattress to air and shape up for over 24 hours before placing on the bed. I am using this on a 15 year old sleep number queen set for additional comfort. I like that this does cover the width of the whole mattress since I tend to sleep on the edge of the bed. Mattress cover is nice and fits our bed fine. Mattress is comfortable. Since it is winter, can't tell if is cool to sleep upon. Have only had it for a week so I will need to sleep on it for a few months to see if it is worth the price paid.

Umm I liked it when it first came, which was in March. The weather was still cool bed was nice and firm it took shape to my body I slept well, now it's May a little warmer I noticed when it's warmer the Foam feels like a regular foam sponge it doesn't do the whole print thing when I press my hand in it it just bounces right back up, I think the weather has a lot to do with itWhich sucks.It's now Nov, 2015 literally 8 months later from purchase & this thing has gotten worst, my hips hurt every day when I wake up. I though maybe something was wrong but then I slept at my moms house and woke up feeling great. The so called memory/gel in this thing has died just after months of sleeping on it. It sucks completely. It doesn't hold my form like it used to. It's now like a giant dish sponge now. What a waste of my hard earned $150. Beware.

I was truly disappointed the first time I laid down on this thinking it was way, way too soft, so I thought I had wasted my money. However, despite being very soft and mushy, I have slept through the night without waking up the 4 or 5 times like I normally do. It goes against my belief that I can only sleep on firm mattresses. This is just like any other memory foam topper-just thicker. However, it really seems to work for me which is puzzling. In fact, I haven't slept this good in years. You sink right in, and it takes the pressure off the points of contact that cause discomfort and pain. Apparently, my body loves it because I fall asleep quickly and stay that way all night. I am one of those people that get up all night long and toss and turn and never seem to reach deep sleep-so this is a blessing for sure. Also, I haven't noticed the topper is hot or smells bad and I am sensitive to those things. By the way, I am NOT a paid reviewer, but I'd like to be-so hit me up Amazon!
