Consistent and quick
Great Grinder, relatively compact and not too loud, many settings that are easy to select

Clean and tidy
We use this for filter coffee, not expresso. Compared to the previous grinder (a Wilfa) this is much less messy, static does not appear to be an issue and although a bit taller it occupies less counter space. Perfect - but it does not have a on/off switch. The illuminated display and bin light (which is a nice feature) do turn off automatically after a short period .

A good grinder ....
I've gone through a grinder every year or so for the last few years, mostly in the £50-70 range. I thought it was time to try something more expensive, in the hope that it'll last a good bit longer .... and Baratza seem to get good reviews across the range. Initial thoughts after a couple of weeks use are very positive. The machine itself is heavier than my previous grinders and feels very solid and stable. I brew almost exclusively using a cafetiere, so don't have the issues which a lot of home users have in trying to get a good espresso grind. However, I am quite fussy about the size of grind; and cheaper grinders seem to quickly get to the point where the grind adjustment stops working. This one seems more robust. I've also had problems in the past with grinders which scatter coffee dust all over the kitchen. The collector on the Baratza fits very snugly into the body of the grinder, and the only 'spillage' is a small amount which comes out when the collector is removed. It also seems to generate a lot less static than previous grinders, which keeps the process much cleaner. Overall this is by far the cleanest grinder I've had. THoughts may change with use, but at the moment I'm very please with this model.

Excellent purchase highly recommended
I had a previous model I upgraded from when I moved from the US. this one is faster to use as you don’t need to measure with scales each coffee. Does it through precise timer. Also easier to clean than other models (not messy). Makes awesome coffee. I’m super geeky and demanding about coffee

Crunches beans
It crunches coffee beans into small relatively uniform pieces to make them more easily submerged in hot water.

Great coffee grinder, steep price
If you grind coffee at home, this is great the control it gives you is what you need. The real question is do you care enough for the price tag, that’s for you to decide

The grinding setting is stuck on very soft despite multiple attempts to troubleshoot and fix. It worked fine for almost a year. This is the first grinder I used, worked great, but now not so great. Amazon support did not help at all. Unpleasant.
