Swiss Family Robinson (Illustrated Classic): 200th Anniversary Collection Paperback – July 29, 2019

I am re-reading Swiss Family Robinson after 60 years. I commend Sea Wolf Press for the excellent printing and illustrations. This version takes the reader back a hundred years when the text and illustrations were first printed. The book is great fantasy reading. It is excellent beach or vacation reading. It has many valuable family lessons that are still relevant today: teamwork, hard work, responsibility and love of family. Both adults and to children will enjoy the book. Parents may need to help their child with some of the terminology. I plan to read other classics printed by Sea Wolf Press.

A great edition with well illustrated pictures that draw the reader into the story. Gave this to our grandson. He loves reading and was pleased to have this in his library.

Beautiful edition. Jacket color is well saturated and deep with the new suede-paper feel. Illustrations from several editions throughout. Gave as gift to 11 yr old who has rarely held a printed book and seemed enchanted.

One of the best children's books for all time.

This story was very popular in my family when I was growing up; I look forward to sharing the adventure of independent problem-solving despite the somewhat dated rhetoric of the story telling. An opportunity for teaching a "then and now" moment.

It was a good book but the words were a little challenging to me as I am a ten year old.this book did take like 1 month and a half!

I bought it for my granddaughter to enjoy as I did at her age, but I was disappointed that this "classic edition" did not include the colors plates, which, in my opinion, make it truly classic. I ended up buying her a used edition.
