Nice product! Gives my hair light hold & soft texturizing without the crunch or nasty white flakes. Scent is quite strong but very pleasant, like lemongrass. I love the gel a little more and the scent is not too strong. But im giving both 5stars for amazing ingredients, good performance and being made in USA

Loses a star because that's a lot of money for 5.5 ounces. The tube only lasts me 3 washes, unfortunately. But if you've got shorter hair or money to spend on your hair, I love this product. It clumps my curls nicely and is so moisturizing that I do not need to use a leave-in conditioner underneath (so, this saves a little money I suppose). It smells very nice, herbal-y and mild, I have a lot of allergies, asthma, and eczema and the scents in hair products are a big trigger, but not with this. The ingredients are so natural I can feel safe when I get some of it on my skin or my hair touches my face. I like their strong-hold gel a lot too. The hold lasts even longer, but a little conditioner underneath is necessary. The paste is great for dry winters.

Glad to find a product that's worth the money and not an overpriced "salon" product that's filled with toxic chemicals. This works incredibly well for controlling frizz. It will not make hair wet or oily looking like some pomades or anti frizz potions. I love this stuff. The tea tree oil scent is very clean smelling which is way better than the smell of chemical fragrances which make me nauseous.

Works but will make your scalp flake if you have sensitive skin.

Love this non-toxic product. Need to learn tricks to use it properly with out making hair limp. I have fine, frizzy hair. Can get weighed down easily. If you have thick hair you can use this product on entire head. If you have hair like mine, you can only use it on half the hair, halfway down to the ends. I use a lighter (more toxic) product on the top of my head. You also have to make sure your hair is very wet when you apply the product or you can add water to the product in your hands or else the product won't spread properly and will clump. This does create a bit of a shine in your hair, which is nice if your a female, but I don't think I would recommend a male to use this product. I don't care for a shiny look in men. Does not clump your hair like gel. Great for keeping moisture on the ends. Great lemony smell. Since it is a heavier product, it does seem to straighten the hair a bit, which is good for my frizzy hair.

This stuff smells fantastic. It's made from natural stuff and it makes my thin hair thicker and manageable. Maybe a tiny bit stiffer, but not like gel, more like I haven't washed it in a day, which is when my hair doesn't drive me nuts by being too slippery. A tiny dab goes a long way, so one tube lasts me at least six months if not longer. It doesn't go bad. I know you're not supposed to apply this stuff when your hair is wet, but I do (I don't use much), then I blow dry. Works fantastic.

I was a die-hard fan of Joico Distortion Gum, and when that product was discontinued, I was disconsolate. I still am sometimes, and in my search for a replacement I have tried products like Max Green Alchemy Scalp Rescue Texture Paste. It works all right, but it provides no moisture. I have thick, coarse hair so I'm looking for a product that will weight my hair down a little and give it a little shine and smoothness, which is what Distortion Gum was great for. So if you're looking for the same thing, after months of search and trying different products, I found a great combination that works: Redken Rewind 06 Pliable Styling Paste and Joico Structure Twist. Together, they work much like Distortion Gum.

Great ingredients, no artificial smell or sticky hands, decent hold, easy to ad a bit of water to reactivate hold. Hubby loves it.
