All I hear is a deafening silence. I wish I'd thought of getting these before. Life here in this retirement home used to be a cacophony of televisions turned up to full volume so people could save on deaf aid batteries, and shouting between the cleaners. Now I can get silence when I want to read or to practise walking. Excellent!

Now for an odd reason for buying these ear defenders. My wife has amazing hearing but this causes problems in loud situations. As she receives sound both through the ear and through the bone, ear plugs are of little use.Having recently visited the cinema she left with “a hot brain” and a headache which lasted a week. As we are to attend a rock concert soon we needed a solution. We tried noise cancelling headphones and, despite their price, had little benefit so we tried these.A bit bizarre but my wife sat through a showing of The Darkest Hour wearing these ear defenders and emerged without suffering. Her hearing is so good she could still follow the dialogue, this by no means indicate they are not cutting out sound, she just has amazing hearing. I have now changed my old ear defenders from the garage to use these. To sum up, they can be used for the duration of a feature film yet suppress unwanted sounds. A cheap, efficient answer to all our problems.

My bedroom shares a wall with a kitchen that holds parties every 2 days. These have been great at blocking out the noise so I can finally sleep. Would point out they're not the most comfortable for sleeping in - they're not designed for that - but sleeping on your back is manageable. A second point is although they cut out talking, music and shouting/screaming they don't cut out any banging noises or scraping of chairs.

Speedy delivery , well packaged I bought these for my 15 year old son he liked the colour too .I bought them for him as he has very sensitive hearing & they are helping him.I would highly recommend these for anyone who has children / young people who have dyspraxia / autism as they all have sensitive hearing these do help .

I use these for studying, to block out the odd bit of noise from neighbours. From my experience they are very good, are comfy, and do provide a silent working environment. Details of my experience:"Far away" noise, like distant music, traffic outside, talking nextdoor: Complete silence."Near by" noise, like TV in the same room, someone talking next to you: You will hear this but quietly"Harsh noises" like scrapes, hammering and drilling: You will certainly still hear this.But if you want them to block out mildly irritating distant sounds, like neighbour's music or traffic, then they're great.

Arrived faulty and broken. No good had to return it. I did test the noise reduction and it’s no better than ear plugs. It’s a tight fit and doesn’t adjust that much to accommodate different sized heads. so may be not be for those that have a slightly bigger than average head. I can imagine one getting a headache after just 10 minutes of wearing this.

They do the job, loud noises are significantly reduced, background ambient noise will be removed but loud sudden noises will still get through but much quieter that's for sure. They aren't the most comfortable for prolonged wear but half an hour - 1hr or so is fine and either way I'm glad to have them.

These are excellent ear defenders for the price. Traffic noise on the road outside is completely removed, as is noise from the neighbours and talking outside the house. Indoor TV noise is still perceptible but would need to be at a very high level to become annoying while wearing the defenders. Perfect for use at a loud rock concert.They are comfortable to wear for long periods.Overall these ear defenders are good quality, effective and excellent value for money.
