It's up-to the sigma force and the archaeologist dgtr to discover the cure while painter n Kat have to stop a mad billionaire from trying out a new technology which threatens to tear the sky apart (literally) !A must read for all James Rollins fans n even for newcomers.

Intriguing!
Apart from being absolutely breathtaking reads, the Sigma Force novels are great shaming devices. They compel the reader to accept how little he/she knows about the world in general. This book was no exception. However, this time the presence of sundry megalomaniacs and arch-villains dogged by past that no longer exists made the stuff a little ho-hum. It felt rather repetitive— forcing me to concentrate on the really meaty aspect.Knowledge! The book, predictably, ran out pretty fast. There were tinges of pain left in the aftermath, caused by the loss of life among those ancient pachyderms. But I have got over that. More importantly, I have already fed a largish list into Amazon to ensure that once the lockdown lifts, I can get hold of those books. The list includes almost all the titles penned by David Rohl, biographies of Nikola Tesla, basic research into activities of HAARP etc.In the meanwhile, reading this book is definitely a good way to spend lockdown or quarantine— so go for it. Just don't expect it to be as good as The Bone Labyrinth. That was truly SPECIAL.This one is merely very good. Nevertheless, recommended.

Do you need a reason to pick up a James Rollins novel?
An excellent read from James Rollins. May not be amongst his finest but still does pack a punch and keeps you engrossed right till its culmination

A lire
J'ai toute la série. C'est super et mieux en anglais. Les personnages sont captivants et l'histoire est très bien rodé.

half way in, very positive
I'm only half way through but very comfortable to write a positive review. I'm fairly new to fiction, having jumped from classics to Stephen King I thought I'd try this. It's science-y and thriller in one! I love itEdit: finished the book, very good! Really enjoyed it. Different in a good way. Only downside was shoot our chapters, gets a little boring reading an entire chapter on shoot outs when realistically nobody's going to die.

Another smart and exciting thriller by James Rollins!
James Rollins delivered again a great and smart thriller. His ideas are exciting and thought provoking, but supported bythe author's vast research. The story line or rather intertwining lines are keeping a reader in suspense making putting the book down very difficult. The book is a great read also because of the familiar characters from the Sigma team and a few new ones, as interesting.I enjoyed reading the book immensely, and learned a thing or more in a process. Time well spent!!

Slam-down-bang tale of adventure, thrills and mystery!!
The Seventh Plague has moved up to one my all time favorite novels! This one.. is one that I can already tell I'll read and re-read many times. One of James Rollins best stories ever! I love how he includes so many historical figures into the plot! Especially Nikola Tesla and Mark Twain. YES!! In real life they really were friends. And, they really did spend time together in Tesla's lab. What an adventure! Toss in the Sigma team and an ancient mystery and you have one heck of a ride! From a mysterious underground tomb in Egypt to a DARPA funded array near the Arctic. One very wealthy business man who seeks to build Tesla's free energy device and also plans on "solving" global warming once and for all. Add to that killer microbe.. no cure.. an assassin.. all of your favorite Sigma members.. and you can forget about getting any sleep! Rollins has outdone himself! The Seventh Plague just carries the reader along, with no let up of twists, turns and excitement!Readers will be talking about this book for a long time. It is truly a masterpiece! The ending is very chilling.. as it holds so many truths. May we learn the lesson BEFORE anyone decides they know better than everyone else the "cure" for any crisis. Real or not. What are you waiting for?? BUY THIS BOOK!!! It's destined to be on the top selling list all year and beyond!
