Es la mejor licuadora que he tenido. 12 años casi me duró la primera y el unico daño fue que se regaba un poco el agua, todavia funciona. Sin embargo la quise cambiar para tambien agregar el procesador de comidas y estoy segura que va a funcionar igual de bien. El precio es muy bueno para dos productos en uno.

We have had several Oster blenders over the years, and have an older version of this one at our vacation home (which is great though it is quite old). These blenders have always been sturdy and excellent, and I really appreciate the fact that you can use the jars with different models. HOWEVER, this one is so awful that I can hardly find the words to describe it. First, it can hardly make a smoothie! Even with the ice blade, it often slows to a stop as I add protein power, nuts, and berries to the milk and yogurt base. Even if you crank the power to the top level it sometimes simply stops mixing. Second, and really more important, this blender is truly so loud that you really MUST wear ear protection when you use it or your hearing will suffer. I bought a pair of these: Etymotic Research ER20 High-Fidelity Earplugs (Concerts, Musicians, Airplanes, Motorcycles, Sensitivity and Universal Hearing Protection - Standard, Clear Stem w/ Blue Tip) and keep them by the blender. Trust me--I have lost hearing because of loud noise and this blender is right up there in the high decibel range. Or blender is about a year old and is now beginning to make that awful smell of burning electrical parts when it is used. It's never been used for anything but smoothies and it can't even manage that task. I believe this is probably a lower-quality version of a formerly well-made model produced for the mass market. I am very disappointed in Oster.

Bought the Oster Precise Blend 16 with the borosilicate glass (the generic term for Pyrex) blender jar and plastic food processor jar about 4 months ago. It works well as a blender, but the food processor jar is different story. The food processor jar is soft plastic, so anything hard like sugar or salt will scratch and cloud the jar surface, even after one use. The plastic jar lid is secured during operation by latches that engage projections on the jar with a twist. Unfortunately, the latches are not securely attached to the lid, so normal forces cause the latches to shear off the lid (photo shows broken latch at bottom). The worst part is that Oster's warranty coverage does not apply unless there is a code stamped on the blender's power plug prongs or a proof of purchase sticker on the box. My blender came without either, so Oster would not replace the broken lid. Amazon would not replace the broken part either, but did offer a $20 credit for my trouble. It's better than nothing, but leaves the question of what to do when I need a food processor. This experience has been very frustrating because an otherwise fully functional device that could be easily repaired remains broken. Ideally, the food processor jar would have been made of a sturdier material and better designed, and Oster's warranty coverage would have been consistent with their manufacturing/packaging practices. While the blender works well and would get a 5 star rating as a standalone product, it is only half of what I paid for, so 3 stars feels appropriate.
