Works great, takes good images and video, housing did not leak - very happy with purchase
Wow. What a great product, with detailed camera images, and a waterproof housing that works (so far) - and all for under $50. At the moment, I’m very happy with this purchase. I wanted an underwater camera that I could lower from my boat to see what was growing on the bottom in order to stay away from anchoring in eel grass. I built a small weighted frame (see photo), used one of the many included mounts to affix it to my frame, started it in video mode, and lowered it to the bottom. I have taken several 2-3 minute videos that have shown me the bottom. No leaks. The camera controls are functional on the waterproof housing, but small and would be difficult to activate while wearing wet suit gloves. But if you start the video before you dive, I think you will have over 2 hours of filming - more than your tank will have air!I only glanced at the small paper manual, but by playing around with the camera for a few minutes, I quickly figured out the controls. There are many settings to choose from if you want to fine tune its operation. It is small, but is very good quality. I bought the package with a 32 GB memory card included. I found that I could connect the camera directly to my Mac computer using a USB-C cable, and after choosing the “mass storage” option that then appears on the camera screen, it mounted as a volume on the Mac, and I could drag and drop image files and .mp4 video files to my desktop. I could then play the videos on my large format computer screen. Awesome. Each of my 2-3 minute video files were under 200 MB, so my 32GB card could hold over 100 short video clips. Your performance may be different depending on the video settings you use. I have not tried the WiFi on the camera. The kit comes with a second battery, and a small battery charger with a USB-C connector. A USB-A to USB-C cable is provided to plug into a USB-A source of power and the battery was fully charged in under 2 hours.

Updated review
The media could not be loaded. Updated review:I’ll start by saying the company definitely has a commitment to good customer care and service. After my first review they gave me a refund and sent another camera in case the previous camera had issues. The video quality is the same as the first camera- it takes good videos and it’s easy to adjust the resolution and quality in the settings. The settings themselves are pretty easy to figure out once you get a hand of adjusting it all. The camera comes with a good amount of accessories to start out for any action adventures you need to record , I use mine mostly for motorcycle rides but also for snorkeling (the waterproof case works and the underwater video quality is also decent however videos will need to be edited for better color outcome) and snowboarding. I have not had the same issue with the new camera as I did with the last one , making sure the camera is recording and it does not stop recording randomly or refuse to listen to me pushing the button so I’d say it’s safe to assume the first camera I got was just acting up for me. The wifi connection is still iffy , just making sure my phone is on airplane mode and no other wifi can interfere with the connection and the videos download no problem (if not slowly) I will add more pictures / videos once it is sunnier out as the weather is preventing me from doing a lot of things with the camera. Thank you to the company for making a good starter action camera and for the great customer service :)Original review : The videos themselves come out pretty good, the sound quality isn’t that bad and it comes with all the set up needed to deck out a motorcycle, car, bike, boat , whatever your plan is. My issues come with the app and wifi connection being very slow and stopping me from being able to download the videos , the camera not recording periodically when turned on and set up which is very disappointing when doing specific videos. It’s a cheap camera so don’t expect anything super great, it’s a good cheap beginning camera to have and mess around with but it’s time for me to get one that connects to my phone without taking hours and records when I need it to. I messaged the seller on their website of these issues and their response was to return it where I got it so not super helpful

Action-cam Dash-cam!
I bought this SJ8 PRO 100% for a dashcam since my 2025 Bronco Sport has a dash tray with an M6 accessory mount, and two type-c USB ports. Once this action-cam is in Car Mode it automatically turns on AND STARTS TO RECORD once you start your car, and then powers off when you shut off your car. I have mine set to auto-off after 10 minutes just to capture any footage after I walk away from my car. I live in an apartment complex so it's an attempt of a deterrent from theft. And I'm still trying to figure out the motion detection settings, I don't think every option, such as motion detection, is available at the highest resolution. I'll have to experiment with the resolutions, so we'll see if I regret this camera as a dashcam. Motion detection is 100% required and I can't turn it on at the moment, hence the 4 star review. My 2K Viofo mini is an amazing dashcam (with great motion detection) but I don't like having something suction cupped to my windshield with a wire dangling down to the dashboard. I feel like that's a messy, outdated concept. But as far as the camera goes, it records amazing 4k videos. And the app is fine even though it has horrible reviews, I can watch all my driving videos on my phone. I'll update this review if anything goes wrong (as a dashcam).
