Sesame Street Love to Hug Elmo Talking, Singing, Hugging 14" Plush Toy for Toddlers, Kids 18 Months & Up

My 16-month-old Baby Boy LOVES Elmo- he likes Sesame Street generally, but Elmo is the only character who doesn't get called our dog's name like every other furry creature he comes across (we are working on the fact that anything fun & fluffy shares its name with our dog currently, but progress is slow at best LoL). However, upon seeing this toy my son let out a full-on shriek of joy, followed by "Elmo! Elmo!" repeatedly being yelled both at the toy as well as his Dad & Dog- when Mommy comes home Elmo may lose out to her, but he still has yet to put him down 4 hours & counting! My son is a bit younger than the recommended age for it, but he's figured out how to use the singing & hugging features already, so all I can say is this Elmo toy has been a TOTAL WIN for one happy dad who is VERY happy to see the joy it is bringing to my boy to be able to sing-along with Elmo, play with him, carry him around the house & occasionally harass our dog with it too (all in good fun)! It seems well-made quality-wise (so far), comes ready to go out of the box (no assembly required or batteries needed), which is great & for the price paid, it is a great toddler toy, but especially so for Sesame Street and/or Elmo fans :-)!

My daughter loves this Elmo! She gives it hugs and kisses all day. It's small, but the perfect size for a 1 year old. I was shocked to see it didn't have an off button, only 'try me' 'spanish' and 'english' are available, so if you're looking for some peace and quiet you'll need to put Elmo away; don't touch him for the next minute or two.

I almost couldn't bring myself to give it 5 stars, because of how annoying it is haha. The most annoying part is that if you budge it, or set it off in any way, it will repeat itself a few times until quieting down. This is fine until I accidentally kick it in the middle of the night, but that's me. A solid 5 stars from my 2yo daughter though. We've had it for about 3 months of heavy use, and it still looks and works great Note: The eyes are solid and hard, and she has smacked herself a few times, but I mean, she will do that with anything, so that's not a knock against it.

Elmo works fine, but the box was packaged in just a larger box with NO packing material, so, Elmo's box was literally obliterated from the bouncing around inside a much larger box. I expected a damaged Elmo box, but not destroyed. Our grandson REALLY wanted a talking Elmo for his toys at our house and it arrived too late to return. As a punt, Elmo was gift packaged in bright papers and gift bag. As received, it wasn't in 'gift ready' condition by any stretch of the imagination. SO....I've learned a lesson and won't order items when 'damaged box' is mentioned. Obliterated box isn't just 'damaged'. NOTE: Review asked about softness of toy. This is NOT a softie toy. The speaker mechanism is in Elmo's chest cavity. The back is secured with strong velcro strips (grandson hasnt noticed it at all) that hide the battery mechanism. Our grandson enjoys playing with Elmo, gives him hugs, but Elmo is not a favorite softie 'sleep on' naptine pal.

The Sesame Street Love to Hug Elmo is an excellent toy for toddlers. Extra points for the fact that it talks and sings in English and Spanish. My 19 month old daughter loves Elmo and was very excited to receive this plush toy. She is constantly raising Elmo's arm to hear him talk and dances along while he sings.

Daughter received from Santa for Christmas. She ADORES her Elmo. It was the only thing she wanted immediately opened. She loves to dance with it. Be careful with the arms, they just work a little wonky after quite a few tight hugs. Still looks great and can still play with though.

Yes, as I said, the hands wouldn't go up and the tummy was over sensitive. A slight movement makes it yap and yap and sometimes it wouldn't stop. But in the end, it's not the product that matters, it's Amazon. Contacted them, and they acknowledge this problem and got it replaced without even needing me to return the faulty product. Truly WORLD CLASS customer service. Although it isn't exactly very nice to give away a defective product but I am sure there are kids who would like it, so I am gonna give away the first one to some kids who have less toy to just pay it forward. Thanks Amazon. Been buying from them aplenty. Never disappointed, not even once.

Elmo's tummy is not cuddly! The fur is soft, the legs just swing, but the arms control the actions which means they are stiff and hard and the belly is the battery and sound machine and not at all small. I thought this being named Hug Elmo, it would be huggable. Not so much.... For $25, I had hoped this would be not only cuddly but entertaining and instead it sits in a corner after one round of the songs.

My daughter loves this doll! He’s actually more cuddly then I thought he would be (by he I mean it!)! He’s very soft and not hard despite the fact that he talks. Good gift for 18 months plus (my daughter is two).
