Elegant tray.
Elegant tray. Sculptured, perfect statement of contemporary/classic design. Substantial dimension to plate body and rim, with refined, nicely sculpted, curved finish to edge and base. Melamine makes it light weight, but its design gives it the presence of a quality ceramic piece. As it is not all that wide, it can function where other trays might not -- at the center of a not-so-wide dining room table, on a shelf, pushed to the back of the kitchen counter, or next to the stove, on a narrow run of counter.Update -- Still glad I made this purchase. Bought this almost a year ago and still looks great. Still bright white and no chips or cracks, despite being knocked about and condiment bottles dropped on it. Am back to look for another one for a friend. : )

Pretty little tray for my flowers!
I use this serving tray as a humidifier tray for my African violets! It's absolutely charming and my violets are doing amazing!

Great tray, but not as large as what you think
This feels like a heavy plastic, which is fine with me. The tray is large, but the space where you actually place items is not as large as what I wanted due to the beveled edge.

Nice, thick and versatile trays
Our trays arrived undamaged. They were banged up quite a bit while being transferred to and from the party by the party staff we hired, and the trays still look brand new. We replated costco sandwiches for the pool party and made fruit and veggies skewers. Everyone thought we had it catered and my impression was their opinion was likely due to the trays and using the party staff. We’ll be able to reuse these trays multiple times.

Rectangular platter
This was a perfect platter for bringing an appetizer to a party. Some of the comments said it was cheap looking, but I found it to be rather substantial for melamine and served my purpose well. I will use it a lot in the future.

Great buy
I haven't used these items yet,but I am extremely pleased with the look and weight of them! I can see myself ordering more in other sizes. Unlike the other reviews this does "not" look like cheap plastic. These are a better buy then porcelain.

I bought these American Metalcraft platters because I take food to friend's homes for pot luck dinners. These are very well made and good looking Plus they are unbreakable. I am always a little uptight about using my good china in the car, and to a friends home because my china is quite expensive and I don't want it chipped or broken.
