Love this.
Can't go back to the ones that my district purchases for us.The spaces for grades are ample (generous even). There are enough spaces for the average class size. The are enough pages for multiple classes (grade and attendance per quarter/trimster/etc).The blank area designed to create your own rubric is great for tracking progress and growth. Customize it however you need it!The behavior documentation is an invaluable tool for collecting and documenting behaviors. (Came in handy on PTC day). The helpful tips were good - some were helpful, many I already implement. The quality of the book itself was very good. Lasted me an entire year. I do wish someone would come up with better spiral binding material though - but this one wasn't bad and held up being shuffled from overcrowded bag to another overcrowded bag.I will continue to purchase this each year. Even though I typically use an online grading system, I found it helpful to organize it all here for the "when technology fails" moments. (I prefer hard copies, and it's easier to walk around the class with a book than a laptop). It was so very valuable!

Perfect for the purpose it serves
I love this teacher's book for manyreasons. The spacing between students is great, I LOVE that I can document behavior issues and that I can have a log for when I call parents about their child. This book keeps everything I need all in one place. Even my schools Guidance Counelor said she wanted one! I'm only giving it 4 stars because there aren't enough pages for all 6 weeks of the school year for all of my students' grades. I'd like to see more pages for grading so I don't have to get a new book at the end of the year.

Elegant design and superb usability
Wow! Finally! A record book that has room to write, is flexible and is elegantly designed. I adore this and I’m just sorry I tried out so many ugly and unusable products before finding this one.

Perfect for record-keeping
Of course the gradebook is in the computer, but I have to have a hard copy so I can always keep track of every single grade despite make-up work, Saturday School, etc., so I can get a true picture of a student's level of effort in the class. I always buy one each school year because they help in parent teacher conferences where i can cover the rest and justify to a parent that before all the extra, this is really all that was done. I'll never stop buying these unless they stop making them.

I love this record book
I love this record book. The fact that it shades boxes in threes rather than every other box makes it a lot easier to keep track of records, and with so many pages, I can keep a record book for years before having to buy a new one. This is especially good for a college professor, since it doesn't have the assignments listed by days.

Perfect planner
I love that there are large enough spaces at the top to write the assignment name, and the boxes are big enough for double-digit scores. Love the perforations so you don't have to recopy the entire class list each quarter. Room in the back for behavior/parent contact logs. Enough pages for double-line entries for each student (scores and attendance on same page). I've used this book for 7 years, and I keep going back!

Really Nice, but Not for Old Eyes
This is a very nice gradebook, just exactly as described, but the spaces are so incredibly tiny it is hard to even record the assignment or then see what you've recorded, or even record the grade. I wanted to use this to supplement by computer grading - for times when I couldn't get to the computer - but it is simply too difficult for me to write in or see. Otherwise, a good grade book. If you don't have eagle vision, I'd look for a larger type version !

the best one I've used yet
Whilst this record book isn't perfect, I've been ordering it each year for the past 3 years due to its versatility. for simply recording marks and grades, the first section is more than enough. I like, however, that the second section is more open-ended, allowing for comments and criteria-reference, rather than just space for a number or letter. There ist still room for improvement for this section, but at least it's there. There is also plenty of space to record parent contact and behaviour/academic issues for each child, should there not be a document already available in school. It does tend to be the section which is used at the beginning of the year and then rapidly drops off by about mid-October. All in all, the best of the bunch.

would be a good idea, as I spend ages trying to find ...
My post-its, which separate the sections aren't strong enough. An extra wide page, or a strong divider, would be a good idea, as I spend ages trying to find the different sections.
