I purchased this Tight Fit Hex Bit Drill Right Angle Attachment Kit specifically to install Blumotion Hinge Adapter, Compact w/ Spacer - 10 Pack. Imagine my surprise when I saw this tool already reviewed for exactly the same purpose by M. Allen dated May 16, 2011. This tool worked very well. It is very good quality as are the bits in the set. (Note: I needed a 7/64" drill bit for pilot hole for #8 screw and picked up hex bit adapter that will accept regular drill bits secured with a set screw. It works perfectly in the Tight Fit unit, same base and locks into Tight Fit same way as their own-see instruction on back of package for forward lock motion). I will use the Tight Fit Hex Bit set for other purposes but I could not find just a single 7/64" hex bit in local home improvement store without buying a complete set of hext bits that I did not need or want.At this point I have only used the drills but expect to use the screwdrivers for other applications. The adapter held the drill bit with the forward lock motion so it did not fall out. I was able to install the 10 Blumotion quiet close cabinet adapters and am reordering more now to finish the job. I would recommend this product, it was easy to use and solid construction. I would buy from this manufacturer again.

Stripped gears. This didn't work very long.

I bought this tool because I had a box full of these (Blumotion Hinge Adapter, Compact w/ Spacer) to install on my cabinets. The Blumotion cabinet door dampers require a screw hole to be drilled into the face frame of the cabinet very close to the corner. No way that my drill could fit into that space! The Tight Fit tool seems to be very sturdy and operates smoothly. It made this project go very easily. It may not be sturdy enough for industrial or commercial use all day, every day, but it is certainly more than good enough for home improvement projects.

Good quality.It would be nice if there was a storage box for all the individual parts. I keep mine in a zip lock bag so I won't lose everything.I recommend.

Needed for a very low clearance exhaust manifold job. Broken stud. Works well. Just be sure to use oil and go slow

Edit: this tool does not fit in standard 1/4" hex shanks, making it usable only by drills. A damn shame.What I love to see in tools is serviceability, and this tool is made to be fixable! It's all thick solid metal inside so it's not like it needs constant maintenance, but I really did expect this thing to be glued together.Seems comfortable to use, though one must remember this is only 75 footpounds, so connecting it to an impact driver will shear the gears.

I received this attachment a few weeks ago to help with a project that I was working on that involved drilling holes for rivets in aluminum sheeting in some tight spaces. This tool allowed me to reach every place that I needed to and worked well, and I know that I couldn't have completed the project without it. That said, I would encourage those thinking about getting this attachment to consider it a light duty tool - don't expect to drill holes or install screws into harder material without pushing this beyond its torque limits. It's a very compact attachment, which does place some limitations on how much stress it can be subject to before it begins to fail. With that in mind, be sure to drill pilot holes for everything - the attachment works really well with the smallest drill bit, start with that and work your way up to larger sizes when needed, and use cutting fluid to lube the drill bit when drilling metal. Same goes for driving screws - drill an appropriate sized pilot hole before trying to drive the screw in.

This tool is very compact and easy to maneuver and control in tight spaces, and it comes with a good selection of useful bits. But it has a fatal flaw in its ability to do the one thing it does because the gears at the corner grind out quickly, rendering the tool useless for even light torque.Get the DEWALT DWARA100 Right Angle Attachment for half the price, plus a set of stubby bits like the Milescraft 2320 Metal Stubby Drill Bit Set and you'll have a much sturdier toolkit to use again on the next project.
