12 x 9 Modeling Base

First impressions, it looks cheap. But after use, I really like it. I havent used it for model building yet but have used it to work on my computer parts. The price is quite high for it being just Plastics but when you check on Amazon, there really isn't any comparable alternatives. I like that there are many slots where I can place lose parts like screws. The cheap Plastics look probably can be covered up with spray paint. I may spray paint or airbrush it in the future. For me, at the price point, it's a luxury item.

I was disappointed in the flimsy construction...the directions holder part is a joke...threw it away...but I find it pretty functional...just way overpriced...

Like other reviewers stated it is plastic but it does the job. The price is high for something I can cut out and make my own from Lowe’s or Home Depot. It does the job and keep my model station organized and and everything situated.

I purchased this because I like the overall layout and the idea of having multiple pockets for glue, paint, brushes, etc., and also because it looks like a pretty durable item. Well, it does have a nice work area and it does have places to put various items, but wow, this is made of some of what feels like the weakest plastic on the planet. I seriously expect it to start cracking and splitting within a year. For the cost, it sure could have been a lot more durable. I'm going to keep it and see how it holds up but my initial impressions are not good. Just assembling the instruction stand gave me anxiety. As I pressed the two parts together, I was just waiting for the cheap plastic to split. It does not inspire one to have faith in the longevity of this product. I hope I'm wrong and that it holds up for a long time.

Bigger than what I thought it was going to be. It seems at first that it might be flimsy plastic but it's very sturdy. It is well built for building plastic models

It's made of the cheap, thin plastic you find in toy packaging, the whole thing is made of it! The only valuable thing is the cutting mat and even it's pretty shabby in quality. The stand for instruction manuals doesn't "snap" together, it barely stays up... Not worth wasting $50.

I love this thing. I don't have my own space, so the kitchen table is where I do most of my work. This allows me to have everything I need organized and in one place. Then when I need to clean up in a hurry it's very easy because everything has a place. The cutting mat is a good size and the whole thing doesn't take up that much space. I can't recommend this enough.
