Douxo Calm Gel for Dogs Cats (2 fl oz)

My dog loves it.

When my dogs vulva is bothering her she goes in circles and whines. My vet recommended that I apply Douxo Calm and it works great. After applying I keep her on her back for a short time before I let her off my lap to let Douxo Calm dry a bit since she licks at it once I put her down. It only takes a few squirts and lasts the rest of the day so it seems to last forever. For me it’s worth the money.

I have been using elbow butter by another company for my dogs elbow callouses for a couple of years now, and although it helped, he was still getting bloody elbows several times a year and I was putting him in a sleeve more and more often to try and help him heal.I saw this recommended on a post online somewhere and I was desperate to help my poor guy be comfortable so I gave it a try. This stuff is a miracle! I use 1-2 squirts of this on each elbow and rub it in, then I put some elbow butter on each elbow after that. I do this every morning when we get up, and in three months we have never had another issue with his callouses. They are smooth and soft and no longer cause him any pain. I am so thankful to have found that post and the suggestion for this stuff, and I hope this review helps other dog parents find a solution to make their dogs more comfortable. Highly recommended for elbow callouses!

You would think, given the price of this product, that the manufacturer could find a way to secure the cap to the container so the liquid would not leak out and coat the bottle, the plastic wrapper and the mailer. But no, they haven’t figured it out. This is the 2nd Douxos product that has come this way. I have contacted them at their website but haven’t heard back yet. Leakage lost me 1/3 of the contents of the microemulsion spray as well, so this is a pattern, not an exception. I hope they figure out a fix soon—tighten the cap and wrap it in tape—how hard can it be? A good product, if it is still in the container when it arrives.

My female Pug has horrible allergies. I have tried MANY products to help her, and some appear to work. Although, her anal glans continue to fill up (I empty them because it has to be done so often, eww i know), and she rubs her butt on the carpet habitually so her little behind has lost some of its fur and has become discolored. I bought this to protect it from her rubbing and it seems to work for a few hours then it needs to be reapplied. It is not a solution, just a band-aid for an underlying condition.

My poor cat has flea allergies. A single bite can send him into a scratching chewing frenzy. Recently he scratched a good size wound near his temple. Very raw and disgusting. I sprayed a very small amount onto a cotton ball and dabbed the wound. Within less than 1/2 a day the wound was dry and on the mend. My only mistake was not to follow up with a daily application for a few days. The first day's result was so good I didn't think he needed further treatment, but after 24 hrs. itching returned. So daily application is recommended by my cat :)

My dog gets seasonal allergies…rash on his belly and his junk. Product did nothing for the itching nor the rash. My sister bought it and it worked fine for her dog. Guess you need to find out if it works on your pet.

This product is working wonders for my dog’s elbow sores. He gets elbow callouses and then licks them when they bother him. That causes them to get infected and oozy and this product has been great at letting them heal. I have to have him wear a special shirt to protect the sores, but between this product and the protective shirt, the sores are healing nicely. I tried many other ointments and this one works by far the best at promoting healing.
