Your fellow vexillologists will love it.
Great for young adults or adults. The symbolism and meaning behind each flag design is fascinating to learn and this book it so fun to pick up and leaf through.

Good one! What my mom wanted for her grandkid
My mom insisted in buying a book about flags for my 5 y old daughter because her friend’s grandkid who’s unrelated to our family so obviously has different genes were able to remember almost all flags from different countries in a month when he was 4 y old. Well, my daughter could do 3 countries flags in a week with this book, so that’s a start. Anyway, seems like it’s a good quality book and looks nice on a coffee table, giving impression to guests that your kid is the future of UN leaders.

My students loved this book
My students loved this book. I simply put it out with various flags for them to color (found online as free clip art)--of course they had to FIND the flags in this beautiful book to know how to color correctly. I made sure to include flags from countries students had personal interest in, and they had the BEST time. Some of them made their own flag books.I like the short facts about the countries, as well. It was just right for my students, who are kindergarten, first, and second-graders. The older ones read to the younger ones as they worked at the center. I didn't have to do anything; I was free to teach my small groups.

Beautiful
I bought this for a seven year old who loves flags. This was the absolute perfect gift for him, he devours it. It's a beautifully done book with full page flag illustrations, divided into section by continent, and with information on each one. I couldn't imagine a better book on the subject. I actually wanted to keep it for myself. It's a fantastic reference book.

Beautiful book! The only reason I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 is because it did not have the Bermuda flag in it, and that's where we live! I would not have thought Bermuda to be so obscure that it wouldn't be included, but oh well. The book is hardcover and features beautiful color illustrations. My 5-year old, who is very interested in flags, enjoys it.

perfect
my son is 5 1/2 years old and loves geographical, and historical books. He recently got into battleships and starting noticing the flags that go with the battleships. I handed him the book after it arrived and his eyes lit up! He couldnt put the book down to get ready for school. Definite score! The text in the book is easy for him to read and the pictures of the flags are big and he loves seeing how each flag is different.

Flags Galore
Add me to the list of parents whose autistic child is a flag enthusiast. This is a great book for my 5 year old; our first copy is tattered from love so I’m here ordering a second. I only wish it had a small map on each flag page showing where the country is located.

Awesome flag book
This was a gift for my grandson. We loved the book, how each flag was separated by it's continuant. And the pictures were very colorful. He loves that book. Age 8.

excellent!
I was a little worried there would be too much writing to the detriment of fun learning. It turns out to be just fine. The flags are well illustrated, with some basic info about the country like capital and size. It also gives a short, but very interesting history of the flag, like its origins and what the colours, patterns and symbols on the flags represent. But not too much. One thing I find excellent, it tends to group flags within the same region by ressemblance, highlighting the differences. Great for learning, and also just for reference. Not sure who likes it more, my 7-year old son or me.
