Definitely worth the money
This is a great little train set. Similiar in size to N-scale model trains. Runs very well. Not for small children. They can watch, but the minute they try to start or stop, may run into problems. I raised 4 children. They are all grown, but I haven't forgotten at that age, their little fingers just are not careful enough for this great little set. Dad or mom needs to run & let child enjoy. On off switch is very tiny on top of engine. Not even 3/16th in height, an 1/8th in width. People have problems with these train sets because they think little 4 & 5 year olds can run. No so. Doesn't mean it isn't a great dollar value or terrific little train set. I run every day. I am very careful that I don't knock train off tracks when I turn off or on. I have taken pictures, and have tried to put on line, haven't figured out how to do that. If you are willing to spend time with your child & run for him & explain that each year you will put out the train under the tree for him, & the minute he is old enough he can run. By the way, this is for a table tree, NOT A FLOOR TREE. Oval track is appx 35 x45. Under a table tree, it is adoreable. I took graduated trays & seed lights and decorated like a tree on my dining room table. The trains are under. Really looks great. You can alway have more than 1 tree.

Get a lot more than your moneys worth ($15.00)
This little train has a lot going for it. Track snaps together and stays put. The engine opens for AA battery. only downsize is the connection for the cars is not easy and if you put both passenger cars on it tends to eventually fall off the track. That said I bought two and have them running through my Christmas village, I made one oblong by using track from the second set, which I made a circle inside the other set of tracks. If you get the right balance of cars it does stay on the tracks, Batteries last a long time. They are smaller in scale than my village but if one has a critical eye most of the people figurines sold are way too tall for the houses too. Hey its fantasy land.

Perfect for Around the Tree.
The media could not be loaded. I was looking for a nice and small train to run around the Christmas tree. I had all but convinced myself to buy a $200 legit hobby train, but was dismayed at the thought of having to tinker with it. Lubricating toy train axles didn’t sound like an enjoyable time to me. I was looking for a no fuss/no hassle setup and operation. This fits that Bill magnificently. For the price, I’ll just buy a new one every other year if needed, but I bet it’ll keep ticking along just fine.Great buy!

Good little train set
My son likes trains and this is a great little set for him to play with at the kitchen table. I saw the inexpensice price and was skeptical at first. Like will this set fall apart right away? Will it actually work? I’m happy to report that it does work and that after putting it together and talking it apart several times, it’s still very much intact. The track was easy to put together and take apart, and the train connects easily and works like its supposed to, once you put the battery in. It’s perfect for a toddler. The pieces are very light. You can disassemble it quickly and put back in the box and it doesn’t take much room in your luggage. I did take one star off for packaging which is a bit cheap looking/flimsy on the inside and I’m not sure how long the box and the insert will last. Also, the train is a bit difficult to align with the track and comes off it easily if it’s pulling other cars. But in my (limited) experience with toy trains, they’re all like that, even the more expensive traditional set we own. This train is very basic, doesn’t make any train noise, no remote control, or any other fancy effects. But for 13-some bucks, I thought it was a great deal because it works and my toddler loves it!

Junk
Purchased this for my Xmas village so didn't care much it was small however the package said C battery ..when it takes AA. Which is strange. The Train package and train is worth about 5.00. The coal box car only had a hole on one side and no hook so it can't even be added on the train? So it is useless. Save your money.

Value your time not for you
Not really for kids, comes off tracks easily. It will come off just turning the train on, parents will be looking for reasons to lose this train as soon as possible.

Good mini train set with moving wheel connectors
The media could not be loaded. Train is smaller than majority of other sets in stores, which I like. I don’t understand why people give less stars for not getting what they imagined, like size for example, when is clearly indicated in the listing. No sound, no light. The only thing I would really like to add is a light.

Fun little train
The media could not be loaded. I created a display (covid project) that kept growing. It only seemed right to have a train running by the wood mill and water wheel. Lol It was the perfect size and a great addition! Its a little fragile and young kids should be supervised. Its definitely a good buy.
