Great sounding instrument
The packing was outstanding. The item was in a case and there was packing in the case around the instrument then packing around the case in the box. That in itself was impressive. I played it for a few days and didn’t hear any buzz or rattle but just to be safe I took it to a local expert. He gave it the once over and found nothing wrong with it. It has great sound and volume. Would recommend

I saw the one negative review here and thought I should comment because I have one and love it. I bought it a couple years ago and regard it as one of the best purchases I've ever made of an instrument. These are really nice dobros, and not just for the money. They're really nice period. I've been playing country in bands for 35 years all over the U.S. and know the genre well. The tone's just wonderful, bright and resonant and going from sweet to biting and growly in the low end as you require. The set-up was fine, it's built solid as a rock and looks great. The tuning keys aren't the best but are adequate. I might replace them eventually just because I'm used to better. Or not. But read other online reviews and I think you'll find a lot of people agree, these are an exceptional deal.

If you are just starting out playing the Dobro or are looking for a good budget instrument this is your best choice.I have owned this model as well as several other high end instruments made by Paul Beard.It features the same hardware as the more expensive guitars built by Paul including the high quality resonator cone.I have been participating in open bluegrass jams for 20+ years and these hold up very well and can be heard just as well as the other good quality instruments.Any guitars with the Paul Beard name are winners,just ask Jerry Douglas and Andy Hall of the Infamous Stringdusters.

I don't think you can go far wrong with this instrument and for the price,and excellent resonator. Purchased this for my son who is absolutely delighted with the sound and quality of workmanship
