Armitron Sport Men's Digital Chronograph Resin Strap Watch

Great watch that can be read in the sun beating down on it while outside. Very comfortable at a good price. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles of most watches these days but it's a great watch for someone who is active like me who counts on durability too.

I'm an older runner and my legs are stronger than my eyes. This is a superb watch for me as I wear it running, swimming, skiing, etc and easily read the display. So happy with it I took it off my wrist and gave it to my admiring brother with the intent of buying another. Looks like Armitron has discontinued this watch? The attractive, very functional and "minimalist" design is what I like. Had to buy another watch from another brand and not as pleased with it. :(

I bought this watch primarily for chronograph function while hiking which also is occasionally pre-dawn. I wanted a big display that is readable at a wide angle, and this fits the bill just fine. I have an older LCD watch that I can read at a wider angle, but find no real issues having to turn may wrist a few more degrees to see this one. My only misgiving is the backlight is weak, just as others have commented, keeping me from giving it a full 5 stars. I can read the backlit display in complete darkness, but anything lighter than that and it's hard to tell the backlight is even on.After purchasing this watch, I found another, cheaper, watch that looked even better - GOLDEN HOUR's "military tactical style" sport watch, and ordered that as well. Never heard of the brand, but will see. The display looked even easier to read on that one. I may revise this review with a comparison of the two. I have been hunting for quite a while for a decent and cheap workout watch, and now I have two that seem just right.Update - 8 months later: the gunmetal ring popped off in the gym after catching on something. I thought I might just leave it off but there were voids underneath, making for a quite ugly "modified" watch face. There were little plastic prongs meant to hold the ring in place, and one of them had snapped off, so it was no longer secure when re-attached. So I glued it back on with some boot glue, and walah, still going! I can't say I'm dissatisfied yet, given the cheapness of the watch and how well the functions have worked for daily use during that time. I see Amazon is no longer selling it at time of this update. I had considered even buying a replacement!Update 5/3/23 - battery finally quit! with all it's failings, I thought it was worth replacing the battery and going for more use. It opens fairly easily. CR2016 battery type. I ordered and will swap a fresh one in. I still like the watch that much. Good size, easy to read...and the battery lasted 3 years + however long it was sitting on the shelf prior to my purchase! Plus the buttons and modes work the way I like. One noteworthy item was the watchband, which seems to be a material less prone to breakdown from various oily residues encountered in daily use. This was a first for me. All others invariably broke down in the past, getting hard and cracking over time.

I've been looking for an affordable watch that I can read the time on without having to find my reading glasses first. Found it! Great watch, I wear it every day to work.

Within four weeks of purchase this watch started to fog up. I wore around the house only, no swimming or any aquatic activity. I called Amazon and they said return timeframe expired so should call Armitron. I called Armitron and I have to pay for shipping to have them look at watch to determine if it can be fixed. Horrible purchase

Looks good, large numerals very easy to read even without my reading glasses. The one drawback is the night light, so dim it's worthless. That's just the way it is, I checked with Armitron. A lot of watch for the price nevertheless.
