Excellent value and outstanding customer service
*Update: customer service experience added to end of review* These headphones sit at the top end of the budget price range and they are better quality than most at this budget level. The build quality is good, the connectivity is simple (I have connected them to an iPad and a MacBook) and the sound quality is decent. The battery lasts a long time between charges (the spoken voice will give you an indication when you connect) with the claimed 60 hours seems plausible to me although it's probably less with noise cancelling on. The noise cancelling is effective and I have used these headphones in a busy office to good effect. Noise cancelling is on by default when you connect which at first I didn't like (I prefer it to be off until I specifically want to use it) but this bothers me much less these days and I tend to just keep it on. The headphones are also pretty comfortable and easy to collapse for transportation. Overall it's hard to fault these headphones at the price and if you can grab them at around the £40 price point they are a steal. *Update: After about 14 months the part of the band that attached to the left earpiece snapped as I was taking the headphones off. I was expecting to have to buy some new headphones from another brand but before I did I thought I'd reach out to Anker Customer Support to see if they might help and they replied to my e-mail within half-an-hour offering to send me a replacement. First class customer support I wasn't expecting.

Awesome headphones
I needed a new set of headphones to replace a set of Sony's that I've had for a few years. I came across these on here, and added them to my basket along with a few other pairs, and then began checking out the reviews on here, followed by some on YouTube. All reviews on YouTube seemed extremely positive and were actually stating that these punched well above their weight, especially at the price, many reviewers stating they'd pay two or three times the price, so I returned to Amazon, deleted the others in my basket and ordered these. Delivery was next day and on-time, and arrived in perfect condition, no problems there. The headphones are light, look modern and cool, and the materials all feel high quality, although it's subjective comfort for me personally was excellent, and the fit was perfect, these are light and comfy, the padding all around is soft and supple, great for long use, with no discomfort, I used them for seven hours straight on the day they got delivered, and I've tried them out with my glasses, no problems with the fit or comfort there either. I've had the headphones for a week now, and have tried them with my record player, PS5, TV, laptop, projector, and mobile phone. Connection is straightforward and simple for each device, with no drop outs or connection issues. I've taken a few phone calls though the headphones now, not one caller has mentioned I sound 'funny, distorted, quiet or unclear' infact, nobody has mentioned a thing, so they can't tell I'm using headphones, and I can hear every caller loud and clear. I've been really impressed with the sound quality with these, but initially thought the bass may be too overpowering for the kind of music I like, but I soon became accustomed to this, and love it now. I don't use the bass boost, as it's not needed for me, but it's there's for all the bassheads, and I'm sure it's a feature they'll like. These are my first noise cancelling headphones, so I can't compare that feature to other (much more expensive) headphones, it's not a feature I really use, as I tend to use these in quiet areas when alone, but the feature does work, as I blocked out some noisy neighbours one night, so it would be useful for any other users, the over ear pads dampen the outside world quite well by themselves too, (noise cancelling only works when connected via Bluetooth, and not when connecting with the supplied aux cable. The sound through these are rich and clear, I don't think you'd get a better pair of headphones at this price point to be honest, which the many YouTube reviews correctly stated. You will probably see reviews on here from audiophiles detailing the finer intricacies of frequencies, sound stages, balances, trebles, rolling highs, lows, mids and all the like, you know the ones.....but I ask, why are you buying a pair of £32 headphones, when it's clear you are looking for a lot more specification (and price) wise, I'd say ignore those, and don't let the over analysers put you off, they have unrealistic expectations, these sound excellent for the price, just check out the YouTube reviews from people who test many different comparable products, you'll be hard pressed to find many negative ones. Fantastic battery life, 40hrs with active noise cancelling, 60 houra without. I've had to charge them once in a week, after many hours of use, and the quick charge feature is amazing and very useful, 10 minutes charge giving you 4 hours of battery life. This model is not compatible with the Soundcore app, so you won't be able to use that to adjust the equaliser settings. I was aware of this before purchase, because I read the reviews and specifications on here, and on the Anker website, easily done before purchase, and it wasn't an issue for me, as I can download an app, or use and EQ on my laptop, to be honest, they sound just fine from the factory setting. If you want the app compatibilty buy the next model up, Q20i I would highly recommend these to family or friends without hesitation, knowing they'll love them. It's my first Anker SoundCore product, so it's always a worry when you try a new brand, but glad I did, and will look for one of their speakers next, and buy happily without any worry about the quality. Like everything else when you're looking to buy something, TVs, computers, cars, there's always gonna be people who want the very best, (we all do want that for our money of course) and these won't meet that need for the serious audiophiles, that must have, or need the top features and specs, but remember you're not paying top money for these, and for the price, you'll be getting the best you can for your money. No matter what you're buying, when you read some reviews, they are never good enough for some people, and have unrealistic expectations, and can put you off purchasing when doing your research, but I don't think these will disappoint the majority of buyers at all. Hope you enjoy them as much as I am.

Update! to “Great for the price so far.”
Got these with a 20% discount (link to Amazon) from an Anker email - so its worth signing up with them to see if you can get the discount before buying. First of all, they sound good and the NC seems effective. I did a side-by-side test vs a pair of Sony wh-1000xm3 (which are the regular best-buys/award winners and cost £270). The Anker/Soundcore Q20 stack up well. The Sonys have a bit more depth/fuller sound and are louder, but they are 7x the price. So far in the house these are perfectly respectable and if you can get them for £40, brilliant. Nice fit, controls are easy, and there's a base-boost mode. Negatives - could be louder, and the pouch is obviously no protection if you're travelling so you may need to budget for a hard-shell as well. Battery seems ok so far. Will also test the NC on a plane and update! NOTE - photo is them in the hard case I bought for £6, it is NOT provided in the pack. NB case now returned as it was terrible quality! Don't buy 'Secret Rain' case!! UPDATED I used these on a couple of 2.5hr flights and the NC was effective (maybe not quite as good as the Sonys but not side by side so can’t be sure). The sound level was fine for watching downloaded tv even when taking off and engines at full throttle! Comfortable to wear as well and possibly breath a bit better than the Sonys. Also used on an intercity train and they were very good. Its a shame that Anker do not provide a hard-shell case as they did with the previous model, as the pouch provided is pretty pointless and offers no protection. I contacted Anker to see if they did the case as an accessory and No....Not helpful! So, May 2020 update. These are still rocking with great battery life and very solid Bluetooth connection. For music, in the house, side by side then the Sonys win hands down, a different league. But for tv/movie and travelling for £40 these are astonishing value.

Soundcore does it again.
As like thier Bluetooth speakers, these guys demolish the competition, in sound, price and overall value for money. I was sceptical at first buying these as I got them at around £30 which is half the price of my cheapest anc earbuds, so I wasn't expecting much but boy was I wrong. The feel & sound of these compete with mid range to the higher end. The ear peice is as comfy as a pillow & the head bar is well cushioned to give no fatigue at all!. The plastic is cheaply made but who cares! The actual sound you get from these is impeccable! High end bass good mid range & a solid treble but the surround experience is also incredible. The buttons are all extremely responsive and very well laid out with many features, incl added base and hybrid anc plus call features. Now onto the part that got me. For several yrs now, i have used earbuds from jabra, beats, technics, Sony too earfun & soundpeats who are at the top of the high & mid range. None! Have anc that comes close to these! Even without the sound on, they muffle any outside Noises with ease, I would say about 80db & work impeccably as does the hybrid functions. I am relatively speechless as too how good these are, especially for the price. And looking at the abundance of brilliant reviews, they are bang on. Sony 700n won the award for best OH earphones on what hifi & these are better for half the price(if boight in deal), then again your likely paying alot for the brand name. I would highly highly recommend these to anyone and will be buying another set for myself and some for my friends. 11/10!. Ps..they even come with a faux leather case to add to all the postives.

Thee most amazing headphones!!
Not only are these normal headphones, they are also noise cancelling headphones! so you can wear them without listening to anything!. It doesn't silence the sounds, but just muffles them at a decent level for you not to be overwhelmed with. Once using these as headphones listening to music, audiobooks etc, the bass is amazing, you can have it loud without the noise leaking out to your surroundings. I tested this out and I got it as loud as I could get it and my husband told me he could ONLY just hear it! so that itself is pretty good. The ears fit OVER your ears so the comfort is really good, I used these for my 6 hour flight the other week and I wore them the ENTIRE time without aching ears afterwards! (which I have issues with with other headphones), they were still comfy to wear 6 hours straight! (maybe even more if I wanted too). The price . . . it is way under priced for this headphones, the way they are built and work you'd thought they'd be priced higher. It's a steal really and SO worth your money! I hardly do reviews but I thought id give it my honest review because this is such an amazing product. Thank-you Amen.

The best at this price range - comparison with TT BH22 and Bose QC35
Update after 9 months of use: Still very happy and have recommenced these to several friends looking for good over ear ANC headphones at a budget. No bluetooth signal loss, no signs of wear at all (but I do look after my gadgets) and ANC is decent enough blocking I'd say 80% of noise. Bose QC35 block probably 90%, Sony XM3 I'd say 95% but you do have to spend around £200 more to get that extra 10-15% - you have to decide for yourself if it's worth it. But having had the Bose they weren't comfortable for me, the Soundcore were better. I had to bent them out a bit to have less clamping force but after that I wore them on several 6hr+ flights and had no fatigue. As far as improvements go, I wish they were less bulky and that Soundocore provided a hard shell carry case (Taotronics do). Original review: This is my second go at reviewing these headphones. Initially I bought several headphones to compare and decide on my new pair of ANC headphones, having lost my original Taotronics Bh22 at the airport. I wanted a step up in terms of ANC quality and comfort. I got these Ankers and the 2019 version of BH22 at the same time. Whilst the Ankers were better than the TT, I found that the ANC was a bit too sensitive leading to wind noise and internal sound pick up issues. I ended up returning them both and decided to spend much more money on Bose QC35 - had them for about a week but wasn't that impressed with them at all especially for the money, and the cabin pressure sensation I got from them made me return them too. But that experience also made me think again about the Ankers. In the meantime Anker customer service got in touch and I ended up giving them another chance. I found that the ANC on the Ankers is actually not that far behind the Bose (and definitely better than TT). Obviously it depends how you use it, but I found that in my commute on London Underground, both the Bose and the Ankers let it some of the high pitched sounds. The Bose probably a bit better and removes a bit more of low humming noises, but the Ankers are pretty impressive especially as they are nearly £200 cheaper! Neither removed 100% of the noise so you still hear maybe l5-10%. The hybrid noise cancellation on these with external and internal mics (a major difference vs most other cheap ANC headphones) works well in my opinion. Plus if you have a larger head, a lot of the cheaper headphones in the £50 ish price range are just far too small. With the Ankers I have room to spare and I can bend the headband to fit me even better so they are not too tight. I found the pads actually more comfortable than the Bose, very similar to Sony 1000xm3. The initial complaint I had about wind noise pickup, I also experienced with the Bose. The difference with the Bose is that you have an app with the option to turn ANC down. But with the Ankers you can simply switch the ANC off with a button, which is much easier than the app, and even with ANC off the passive isolation of the ear cups works very well to remove a lot of the annoying sounds. Turning the ANC off also removes the problem I had with feedback from the cups when running / walking fast. The ANC is simply very sensitive - so keep that in mind. But it's not a big issue for me. The battery life is great too. Also I like that Anker have come up with an original design and colour which is very dark matt grey as opposed to a lot of other models on Amazon that all look the same cheap glossy black. My only real gripes are that I wish they were less bulky, and that the sound is too focused on mids and lows - if you like base you will like these, but I wouldn't use them for critical listening at home (which is fine, I have my Grados for that). But the comfort, ANC and general quality can't be beat for this price in my opinion. Plus, Anker customer service is outstanding. I am happy to recommend them.

Really noice headphones!!
I bought these, and the Q20i version. I returned the Q20i version because the audio quality is poor and they are too plastic and cheaply made. It's very apparent that the Q20i is a much cheaper model, but marketed as an improvement- they simply are not. The Q20 (not 'i' version) are well made, robust and sound very good. They charge with the older micro-usb connector, instead of the newer usb-c, but it's really not an issue. We used micro-usb for 10+years, I'll continue to use it for another 10+yrs :D The noise cancelling works well, I've used these on a train and it's perfectly good, not total cancellation, but more than enough to remove the train noise. You lose quite a lot of bass when noise cancelling is turned on, not sure why; the audio quality is still very good. The audio quality with NC off is fantastic. I've also used these in the garden with a petrol lawnmower. The noise cancelling in this situation is not quite as much as I'd like, but to be fair, running a petrol lawn mower is well beyond what they are designed for. I've dropped them several times, no problems. The battery life seems to be very good, I've used them for 4-5 hrs at a medium volume level, NC on, without recharge. Not sure how long the battery will last, but it's at least 4 hrs. If you're trying to chose between the Q20 and Q20i models, buy the Q20. Differences are: Q20i needs an app to adjust equaliser EQ settings. The default setting is just garbage. You'll spend forever messing with it, It's just a pointless gimmick, IMHO. Q20i uses USB-C whereas Q20 use Micro-USB to charge. Charge time is the same, battery life is the same. Q20 are a noticeably better build. The Q20i feel cheap, flimsy and not very robust. They feel easily breakable. Q20 have different control button layout, the Q20i crams all the functions in to 3 buttons, whereas the Q20 has 5 buttons: vol up, vol dn, power, NoiseCancel, PlayPause. The vol buttons double as skip and prev buttons.

Very good phones!
I had a pair of of older nc earphones for a few years ,batteries started acting up sooooo newies required . The priority was noise cancellation(nc) . I work in a place where manners is alas a bygone thing . Break time is full of eejits playing tik tac videos at volume ,listening to the same idiotic laugh track over and over . An absolute joy as you can imagine. So unlike my comrades ,my parent were swift on any sniff of bad manners and on it like a wet poo on a horsehair blanket. Hence i wear earphones not only as a courtesy to the others in the creche but to preserve some sanity. My old phones nc wasnt to be fair very good , so i was quite happy to see them gone . The soundcore were fairly reasonable price and i wasnt expecting much but yaaayyy. I found them comfortable ,light and the nc was a lot better than my previous . So far battery is lasting very well . I dont listen to music but the sound quality for netflix ect are great .as for drowning out the moronic mass....not bad , nc alone ,no but playing something its fine . Not as good as a baseball bat and unleashing of anger issues but a lot better for job security. All in all 10/10 . Cant fault them .
