Yes you can. I cooked a fried egg (no oil required) with the lid up. Wait till temperature indicator comes on, or egg will stick if put-on from cold

A folded large wrap wouldn't fit i guess. Maybe the next size of grill will fit for sure. This grill size is perfect fit for two sandwich breads at same time. hope this help..
